hi ,
i work as a senior manager in a fashion brand in london and have around 12 yrs of work exp in the areas of sourcing and production management... i have a master degree done in 2000 but now feel the need to take steps to go up the career ladder by probably doing an mba ... i am not sure if i can find a better job post the mba and whether a general mba is better to go with..also what areas can i possibly go into with my previous experience in fashion ?

It's a perennial debate - specialized MBA versus general MBA. I think even in most "general" programs - particularly two-year programs - you end up gravitating toward the electives, clubs, internships, etc. that interest you anyway. I think in your situation, a good MBA would give you all-around training (marketing, strategy, operations, ecetera) that you can apply to your career in fashion or any other industry you want to go into.
Just my thoughts. Good luck!

I agree with the above. An MBA is intended to provide transferable skills in business management so I would recommend a good generalist course.
