Procurement and Supply chain management role in companies such as shell, exxon ,chevron

I have applied to Mays A&M. GMAT is 700. 4+ oil and gas industry experience

I wanted to go into the operations profile for big oil companies such a shell, chevron, BP etc. Can anyone tell what kind of work and role i will be doing and what will be my responsibilities? I want to go into the procurement side.

Why not speak to some alumni of your alma mater who work in procurement? Otherwise, perhaps reading the LinkedIn profiles, job adverts, professional curricula etc of these roles will help you. Mainly, surely, procurement means finding out what colleagues need and then buying it as favourably as possible.

You probably want to go to a school that has great connections with the oil companies. The top Texas schools: SMU, Mays, Rice, maybe McCombs - these would all be pretty good bets. Or Oklahoma - Price...
