Hi All,
I live and work in NY and I am applying to LIM part-time MBA as well as NYU part-time MBA and both schools I would major in Entrepreneurship. I work in (fashion) internet merchandising and would one day like to open my own online retailer. I have 5 years work in experience in retail buying, styling and e-commerce. I am also considering Fordham part-time mba as well because it has an IT major. Or possibliy Europe's Luxury Marketing MBA programs specifically SDA Bocconi. I already have a B.S. in Design and Merchandising, I am looking for a business foundation mixed with marketing for my company. The cost of NYU part-time and LIM is about the same 50K and the duration ia the same about 2.5 years. Schooling for a year in Europe is quiet expensive about 70K. The reason I am considering the part-time program is because I already work in the field I desire, internet merchandising. Even though LIM is not a popular program should I do it beacuse it meets my needs? It has all the classes that I need. Or should I do the NYU program becasue of ther reputaion and net-working. I also am struggling with my g-mat studying I feel that with a low gmat score it might be easier to get into LIM, but I don't want to miss out if NYU is the better choice.
Or what school or program would you recommend?
Please help.

I think you have misunderstood the fees. Europe is much cheaper.
The NYU MBA is 60 credits at $1,640 per credit. That's a total of $98,400 for tuition, plus fees:in total the 12 credit year is $21,000 http://www.stern.nyu.edu/FinancialAid/Cost/Part-time/index.htm. The NYU Executive MBA is $149,000 http://www.stern.nyu.edu/AcademicPrograms/EMBA/Apply/index.htm#costs.
The Bocconi Global Executive MBA is around $70,000 *in total*, not per year. But the Bocconi luxury MBA track, held in Rome at the Bulgari offices, is only $60,000.
A good comparison for the LIM course in Europe is the CNAM MBA in fashion, which is around 20K

$20,000 year, will Graduate Plus loans finance a European MBA?

I'm don't know the US loan system (I am a European) but Stafford Loans do cover many foreign schools (but not Bocconi). http://www.internationalstudentloan.com/eligible_schools/ I guess that Bocconi may know how US students finance MBAs. Here is a summary here: http://www.unibocconi.it/wps/wcm/connect/SitoPubblico_EN/Navigation+Tree/Home/Services/Student+Assistance%2C+Financial+Aid+and+Loans/For+PhD+Programs/Student+Loans/Funding+by+Country/North+America/USA_EDAuthor4+2008+08+08+05+32?back=y

Thanks so much for your help. Cost wise its looking more like Fordham or LIM part-time MBA with semester abroad in Italy. Ha Ha They are both about 53,000 for the whole program.

Hi there, my brother, who graduated in Industrial Design, took his MBA at MIP Politecnico di Milano, since they have a specialization in Luxury and Design Management. I think this path can perfectly match your needs and expectations.
The total costs for the FT MBA program (14 months) is around 28700? books included and it starts in May.
