How much a MIM/MBA will help a Project Manager to move into consulting roles.

Hi,
Am a project manager in Tech/Software industry with around 10 years of experience. Now i want to move into big consulting firms for consulting roles or move to big tech companies.
Hence am thinking to do a MIM/MBA from good North American or European business schools.
Any perspective on how much a MIM/MBA will help me to achieve my goals?
and which MBA programs/schools might be more suitable for this?

With your level of work experience an MBA would probably be more appropriate than an MIM.

And it's quite common for tech/software folk to transition into consulting, given the right circumstances, especially proper school choice.

This is a good place to start:

Can't go wrong with Columbia, Insead, LBS, Booth, etc. Do yourself a favor and make a shortlist of the firms that you are interested in working for and then search LinkedIn to see where their employees did their MBAs.
