Hello!
I'm looking for some insight on my profile and which schools I should apply for.
About me:
- 27 year old Male, from China but with US PR
- undergraduate: 3.8 GPA at a regional school (not top 20)
- work experience: 4 years finance back office. Currently leading a team of 5.
- GMAT score: 730
Do I have a shot at Wharton? I didn't study finance in undergrad I studied engineering lol. So I would really like to skill up in a strong school for finance and maybe transition into Goldman JP Morgan, etc.
Any feedback would be appreciated. I am also open to other schools or to retake the GMAT if necessary. Thanks!!

I would say that under normal circumstances, you'd have a reasonable shot (although not a given) at Wharton. But, due to all the deferrals this year, next year's cohort might be more competitive. Another year of progressively responsible work experience would go a long way.
For you as a candidate, a stronger GMAT score might have marginal benefit.
Consider applying to a couple of safety schools as a precaution.

Hi, sorry I didn't see this reply, but I appreciate the advice! I am now officially planning on retaking the GMAT. Hopefully it will help, even marginally.
Of course I would also apply to some other schools. I was thinking about Ross and NYU. Any other suggestions?

Georgetown, maybe UNC?
