1 Year MBA - suggestions?

pandabeh

I am looking to open up a discussion around the top International MBA schools that have a 1 year programme.

In my findings, 1 year programmes are more popular in Europe vs US. Some of the top schools I have found that provide 12 month prorgrammes are:

INSEAD, JUDGE (Cambridge), SAID (Oxford), IESE, HKUST (18 MTH)

Would any prospective, current or post grade students be able to provide constructive insight or recommendations? I've particularly found it difficult to source any 1 year progs in the US.

THANKS.

I have attached some useful informationfrom another blog I found (below)

You can yuse the advanced search tool on this site to find one year programs in the U.S:

http://www.find-mba.com/search

a first search showed 244 business schools in the US are offering such programs! you should use the other parameters to narrow it down.

Generaly speaking, the European MBA Programs tend to be one year programs, and the US ones are traditionally 2 years long, but this seems to be changing in the last few years.

you can read this article about the differences between European and US MBA programs:

Good luck,

Andy

Kellogg has a restriction on number of years passed since your BBA, i believe its 5. Overall the Kellogg MBA is a 2 yr track and the 1 yr option is no the preferred option.

If you have a graduate technical degree Cornell MBA can be done within 12-16 monts i believe. Perhaps the same could be true with Rochester.

Emory is an excellent choice for leadership training but recruiting quality is simply not there compared to top US schools.

Univ of Florida could be the most entertaining campus in the US with all the recent sport success they have been having and half naked bodies walking around year long. Academically it can hold its own but recruiting is limited to South East US basically.

Insead, Judge and Said are probably the wisest choices in Europe.

Finally in Asia, HKUST MBA is 12 months not 18 as you indicated.

I have been on the same quest looking at 1 yr programs, anyone else please share your thoughts.
