Hi everyone,
Which are the best One-Year MBA Programs in the US?
Currently, I'm considering Cornell, Northwestern, Boston University. Which would be the strongest of those? Any other ideas?
I'm from continental Europe, work in the insurance industry (law background) and have 6 years PQE. I'm not considering 2-year MBA programs because I can't be out of my job for more than one year.

I think the FT ranking is very reliable.

I'd rank them like this, based on generally on reputation and placements (with some caveats):
1. Kellogg
2. Cornell
3. BU
What are your career goals? The Boston program is globally-focused, with a residency in China, so if you wanted to work in an international environment, multinational, etc., this is a good choice. (There's also the IBEAR program at USC Marshall, you might want to check that out.)
Keep in mind that these one-year MBAs are generally looking for people with specific ideas about what they want to do after graduation. You don't get the same breadth in the core curriculum as you would in a two-year program - the Kellogg core program doesn't require any finance or marketing - but you round out the curriculum through electives. There's also not as many opportunities for internships in these and similar programs - Cornell offers a two-week internship, but I'm skeptical of how effective an internship can actually be if it's only two weeks long.
A few other one-year MBA programs you might want to explore:
Emory (Goizueta)
Babson (Olin)
Pepperdine
1. Kellogg
2. Cornell
3. BU

There are three one-year MBAs in India with international accreditation: SP Jain, ISB and IIM-A.
I'd also look at MISB in Mumbai.
