I'm an American who has been teaching English in Dubai for a few years. Now, I'm interested in getting my MBA in the region.

I've heard of some MBA programs here (I have a colleague who did the MBA at Hult, and I'm aware that the University of Dubai has an MBA program as well,) but are there options in the broader region as well?

Maybe not Syria or Iran, lol. But Qatar, Egypt, Turkey, Israel?

The American University in Cairo (and in Beriut) both have good MBAs. There are some world-class MBAs in the region: lots of European EMBAs in the UAE, the Kellogg MBA at Recanti and the ESCP MBA at the ESA in Beruit.

Dubai (and the UAE in general) is probably going to have the most internationally-visible offerings - but a lot are part-time and executive-level programs, which may or may not serve your purposes.

A short distance from Dubai, there's the American University of Sharjah, which offers a two-year full-time course. In Al Ain there's another two-year program at the United Arab Emirates University.

Regionally there's also a good program at the Qatar University.

Further afield there's the Sofaer MBA in Tel Aviv - it's a one-year full-time program, and has good international recognition. There's also an interesting full-time MBA offered by Kuwait University.

I think I may focus on Dubai. How are the UK-based EMBA programs compared to these other programs? I've come across Bradford and Cass EMBAs, both of which are offered out of Dubai and look pretty interesting.

Did you make a decision? I'm researching many of the same programs as you, especially the EMBA from Bradford.

I'm focused on Cass and Bradford - but also trying to reach for LBS depending on finances. I'm negotiating with my employer to see if I can get some of the cost funded by them (and how much.)

Did you take the GMAT? It's not clear to me if you need it to apply for the Bradford EMBA program.

Because that page says "MBA Entry Requirements," and I didn't know if those criteria also applied to the Executive MBA program.

They do. The link to that page appears on every page related to all the MBA formats at Bradford.

I am in a similar situation. I would like to know if AUC would be a better option than an online MBA from Bradford or Durham. I am living in Egypt.

I guess that depends on your goals, and which of the AUC programmes you are considering. Certainly the AUC EMBA seems like a better programme to me that the Bradford DL course.

Hi Duncan, I also live in Egypt and want to join a nice accredited program with flexible timings. I excluded emba as it is very expensive for me . What do you suggest an online program or shall I go to a popular mba like eslsca ?

I suggest you search the board for 'Egypt'. The eslsca MBA does not have any of the meaningful accreditations. This is discussed endlessly on several posts.

I'm looking for a quality but affordable MBA in Doha or Dubai. I am only on the hunt for an accredited program - thanks for any suggestions!

Have you read through some of the posts in this thread? There are a number of quality accredited programs in Dubai, and a few in Doha. Otherwise, there are accredited international providers—LBS and Cass come to mind—offering MBA programs in the region.
