The Business School

Popovich Hall
The USC Marshall School of Business is a private research and academic institution committed to educating tomorrow's global leaders.
Ranked as one of the country's top school's for accounting, finance, entrepreneurship and international business studies, Marshall also shares the rich history and vibrant community of the USC academic system.
The Program
Marshall provides a foundation for success by offering a business education that balances theory with real-world application. The hallmarks of the program is its emphasis on entrepreneurial spirit, its global perspective, its incorporation of technological advances to expedite business practices, and its recognition of new areas of specialization in the business world.
Faculty and students explore business problems from a multidisciplinary perspective that:
* Emphasizes interpersonal skills and teamwork
* Develops leadership and entrepreneurial talents
* Increases global awareness, and
* Improves technological knowledge
Operating with a low student/faculty ratio and small class sizes, faculty members work closely with students and with the business community. Marshall's location on the Pacific Rim, its proximity to the major business and financial centers of Los Angeles and its strong alumni network offer additional opportunities for intellectual exchange and practical experience.
Entry Requirements
The Marshall MBA programs are highly selective, and each candidate is assessed on a number of dimensions. The Admissions Committee carefully reviews each application, weighing prior academic, professional, intellectual, and personal achievements. We seek students with outstanding leadership potential as well as those with the intellectual and interpersonal abilities to contribute to our academic and extracurricular programs.
Financial Aid
Due to the generosity of alumni, corporations, and interested individuals, a number of merit-based fellowships are awarded to students at Marshall. Fellowships are awarded throughout the admissions process to new students, and to returning students before their second year.
The Admissions Committee offers awards based on a range of criteria including scholastic merit, leadership, work experience, and other characteristics that may add value to the academic and social atmosphere at Marshall. These two-year awards vary from partial to full tuition remission.
Dean's 2nd Year Scholarships are awarded to second-year students who did not receive fellowships upon admission to the program. These awards are based on first-year accomplishments, including superior academic performance, leadership initiatives, and contributions to the Marshall and USC community.
Location

L.A. Skyline
Situated in Los Angeles, California, the Marshall School provides ready access to industries defining the new business frontier; bio-technology, life sciences, media, entertainment, communications and healthcare. As a prime gateway to Asia and Latin America, our location gives us a unique world view and has resulted in an alumni community that spans 44 countries. This vast network offers Marshall graduates exceptionally strong support for success in the global marketplace.
Student Life

Students at USC
Marshall's Los Angeles-based location is an ideal place for global commerce and cultural enrichment. Whether you want to catch a Lakers game (just 10 minutes from campus), or enjoy a morning at the Museum of Science and Industry (just across from USC Marshall’s Popovich Hall), you’ll be surrounded with new opportunities for growth and perspective.
Volleyball, snorkeling, and sailing are just some of the water activities our students enjoy along Los Angeles’ beaches, and more adventuresome types find their way on skiing, rafting and hiking trips.
For those who enjoy fine cuisine and the nightlife, the city offers hundreds of great restaurants and bars — or cafés for those who want to sip a latté before going window-shopping in any number of Los Angeles boutiques.
