The Program

The LMU EMBA is designed as a true principle-centered educational experience, with the goal of promoting leaders who are governed by the highest standards of character and integrity. In short, we help you to be not just a better leader, but a better person.
At the heart of our program lies the classroom experience. Our small class sizes create a uniquely personalized learning environment where you receive a high level of one-on-one attention. There is a strong emphasis on teamwork, participation and interpersonal communication, all in supportive and non-judgmental surroundings. Through lectures, case studies and projects that integrate course materials, we create a framework that maximizes learning, enabling you to discover and develop your own particular strengths and leadership skills.
Our program is a true learning partnership between students, faculty and staff that stimulates your personal development. Our highly regarded faculty are not there solely to lecture, but to inspire you to think for yourself and gain a deeper understanding of your own personal talents, values and passions. As an integral part of the EMBA program, you are assigned an Executive Coach, who will serve as your mentor and help you develop your own professional growth plan. Our coaches are experienced executives and professionals who have undergone specific training for the dual coach/mentor relationship they perform. In addition, and wherever possible, they will tap into their own professional networks and resources, creating valuable career opportunities for you.

Application Procedure
We recommend that you attend an information session to find out more about our program, however information session attendance is not required. To sign up for an information session go to emba.lmu.edu/infosessions.htm.• Schedule your personal interview
Candidates for the Executive MBA must have an interview with a member of the admissions committee. If you are considering candidacy you are encouraged to interview early in the admissions process to assess the fit between the program and your experience, expectations, and personal development needs, and to determine if you are required to take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).
• Complete the application for admission (available at emba.lmu.edu/apply/application.htm)
• A $100 (USD) application fee
• Send for official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
Official records must be sent directly from the registrar of the issuing institution to EMBA Admissions. Transcripts submitted will not be returned, nor will copies be forwarded by LMU to other institutions.
• Request two letters of recommendation
You should request these from persons with whom you have closely worked and who can evaluate your abilities, accomplishments and potential. Where applicable, at least one letter should come from your supervisor.
• Obtain your company’s sponsorship
You must have a support statement from your employer acknowledging that you will be given the necessary time off from work to attend classes and other official program functions.
• Provide the official score of your Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), if required
The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is required only if your prior academic work and professional experience does not show clear evidence of strong quantitative and analytical reasoning skills. A determination that the GMAT is required will the made after your personal interview and application screening.
Tuition and Fees
LMU Executive MBA Program Fee$83,000 for the 21-month program starting in August 2010. Transportation to and from residentials, lodging during regular class sessions, and laptop computers, which are required in the program, are at the expense of each participant. The program fee will remain constant for EMBA Class starting August 2010 and graduating May 2012.
Fee Payment Schedule:
$1,000 - Due upon acceptance (non-refundable)
$20,500 - July 30, 2010
$20,500 - November 30, 2010
$20,500 - July 29, 2011
$20,500 - November 30, 2011

A combination of stunning views of downtown Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean and convenient access to freeways make LMU a highly desirable study destination.
