The Business School

AGSM is part of UNSW’s Australian School of Business. AGSM MBA Programs are consistently ranked as world-class programs in surveys of international importance.

AGSM offers a full-time MBA in Sydney, an MBA (Executive) Program, part-time across Australia, and a Graduate Certificate in Change Management, online. AGSM Programs are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and were the first Australian programs to receive accreditation. The AGSM Alumni network has over 11,000 Alumni spanning 68 countries.

The Program

The full-time MBA is a 16-month program. The core component of the program aims to embed core management disciplines, sharpen problem-solving and decision-making skills and develop influencing and team-based skills that will assist students in managing in a global business environment. The elective phase of the program provides an opportunity for students to take courses across a range of disciplines, or to focus on a special area of interest. The MBA incorporates an option for international exchange at one of AGSM’s 27 partner institutions including London Business School, Chicago Graduate School of Business and Indian Institute of Management. Management projects and internships may also be built into the elective phase of the program.

Entry Requirements

1. Academic ability & transcript/s - Original or certified copies showing proof of completion/degree awarded
2. Grade Point Average - Based on 4.0 GPA table. A minimum of 2.0 is required.
3. GMAT score of 600+
4. Work experience Minimum of 2 years' managerial/professional experience post degree.
5. Personal Statement Essays 4 essays no greater than one page in length for each essay.
6. Detailed CV A CV outline on the AGSM website will provide assessment guidelines.
7. Two Referee reports Referees must use the MBA reports.
8. Proof of Identity Copy of passport

Application Procedure

AGSM makes continuous offers on a rolling admission basis so applications may be submitted at any time during the year. Early applications are strongly encouraged. International students should take into account visa processing time. The Selection Committee makes final decisions on complete applications within three weeks of submission.

A complete application consists of the items listed in the checklist below:

1. A completed on-line application form
2. Four personal statement essays. A maximum of one A4 page in length for each essay.
3. An official copy of your academic transcript (providing proof of completion of degree)
4. A detailed curriculum vitae of work experience (check CV guideline assessment)
5. Two referee's reports
6. Photo Identification
