The University

East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) was founded in 1952, as one of the key state-owned universities it is on the list of “211 Project”. ECUST has developed itself into a research oriented university with multi-disciplines development.

ECUST has 15 academic schools with around 3700 staff members and 26000 full time students at undergraduate, graduate and doctorate levels. Over the past 50 years, thousands of overseas students from more than 80 countries have graduated from ECUST. At present, there are around 500 overseas students study at ECUST

Today ECUST is moving ahead to build world well-known first-class university.

The Business School

School of Business, founded in 1990, has become the largest and fastest growing school at ECUST. It boats a well-qualified and experienced faculty of 124 members; over half of them are professors and associate professors.

The MBA programs are well recognized by the State Education Ministry of China. One of the unique characteristics of the ECUST School of Business is excellent international study environment offered to the MBA students. ECUST MBA invites worldwide professors and professionals have been invited to join hands with us to build the branding “Global MBA of ECUST”.

Entry Requirements

Companies seek top managers having at the same time a broad scope of business skills and very specific technical knowledge. He has to be a leader and an effective decision maker no matter the different cultural environments.

Adimission Requirements:
1.Two year full- time working experience will be preferred or at least to have accelerated 2 year internship or part-time jobs ;
2.IELTS 6.5 or TOFEL 80 (Internet-based) or GMAT will be preferred;
3.GPA 3.0 above;
4.Bachelor’s degree/diploma (English version) issued by accredited educational institution. No business major required if having working experiences.

4. Motivation Letter
The motivation letter can help us understand more about your personal and professional experiences and your reasons for wanting to attend this MBA program.

5.Two Recommendation Letters
One is from your employer and the other is from your professor at your university. These letters must be from people who know you well enough professionally and/or academically to supply an exhaustive evaluation of your professional and/or academic performance and provide a detailed evaluation of your qualifications for an MBA.

6. English Language Certificate
All applicants must be highly proficient in written and spoken English. If English is not your mother tongue, you must take the TOEFL or IELTS tests.

After an initial review of your application, a select number of candidates will be invited for an admissions interview. This allows you to show that you possess the essential skills and talents that are the key to getting the most out of the MBA experience. The interview may be held:
-At East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST). You will have the chance to get to know us better and assess the environment which could soon see you as an MBA student.
-On internet. We also offer interview via internet for the candidates who are not convenient to ECUST by themselves.

Tuition and Fees

The totaltution fee is RMB12,0000 to be paid in 2 installments:
1st installment: RMB 6,0000 upon acceptance of admission
2nd installment: RMB 6,0000 before 31st Dec of the second acdemic year

Location

The university has three campuses, and MBA courses are taught at core campus--Xuhui Campus which is just a 5-minute bus to the subway station and South Railway Station. The city center is only minutes away.

Accommodation

All students accepted on the course will be given the possibility to be housed in the student residence halls located on campus for the entire academic year.

There are five accommodation options for foreign students, including single- bed room and double –bed room, and the rent range is from 50RMB/day/room~140RMB/day/room

Each room measures are equipped with a bed, a desk and blankets. There are shared kitchen and laundry on each floor

All university restaurants including Muslim restaurant are located on campus.

Student Life

Seminars, workshops, cultural, and team-building activities provide new perspectives and challenges for MBA students.There are lots of perspectives and challenges for MBA students at ECUST, like seminars, internship, sports, cultural and team-building. Communication, negotiation and cooperation skills could be enriched through these activities.

Students Association also provides several positions for the students who are interested in putting their managerial skills to the test
