Ranking: ETH Zurich is constantly ranked among the 5 top universities in Europe and among the top 30 world wide. ETH Zurich has association with 21 Nobel Prize winners, and a further 16 Swiss personalities and institutions have been honoured with a Nobel Prize.
Size: The ETH itself comprises more than 350 professorships and about 850 lecturers who fulfill teaching obligations and conduct research programs. A staff of more than 8'000 work in teaching, research and administration. Current statistics of the ETH show about 14,000 registered students. Each year about 2400 receive an ETH diploma and a further approx 600 complete a doctoral thesis.

The Program

Mastering Business Operations in the Global Economy
Our Executive MBA program is focused on supply chain management. Today’s highly competitive markets require increasing numbers of qualified managers to lead the planning, implementation and control of complex international value networks. We educate our students in the areas of general management and leadership with a truly global perspective - always in close contact with reality. Additionally, we provide in-depth studies in a subject of special interest: international supply chain management.
Academic Excellence and Practical Relevance for Global Business Success
Our Executive MBA program is offered by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich), one of the leading universities in the world with more than 350 professorships, 850 lecturers, 8’000 faculty and staff members and 14’000 registered students. One of its academic departments, the Department of Management, Technology, and Economics (D-MTEC) is responsible for the program. Partner universities are the University of Washington (Seattle), the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Tongji University (Shanghai) and Hosei University (Tokyo).
To ensure practical relevance, the ETH Zurich cooperates with the FORUM-SCM for the design of the curriculum, the selection of lecturers and executives for VIP talks, as well as the organization of field trips and company visits. The FORUM-SCM is an association of globally focused companies in industry, trade, logistics and consulting services.
Entry Requirements

The Ideal Student
You are a member of the middle or senior management in an industrial, trading, logistics or consulting company. It is your aim to acquire the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills enabling you
- to successfully manage an international business;
- to design global supply chain strategies for sustainable competitive advantage;
- to cooperate effectively with business partners in multiple countries;
- to improve market responsiveness and cost efficiency of complex supply chains.
Admission requirements
- A university degree (master)
- A good college degree (including University of Applied Sciences) or equivalent
- 5 years business experience
- Proficient in Business English

Tuition and Fees
Fee CHF 65.000 (CHF 60’000.- for early registration to be completed by 29.01.10).
The fee includes: all lecture sessions, comprehensive course materials (on a server), examination fees.
Also included are as well half-board and accommodation in Asia and the US
Additional costs: All flights and long distance transportation, accommodation in Europe.
Financial Aid
For residents of EU-countries and Switzerland holding a working permit, might apply for financing at "Festo-Fond".Overseas students must proove they have sufficient financial funds to cover the study fees and living costs.
We can support students in obtaining study loans.
Location
Zurich is the largest city in Switzerland and capital of the canton of Zürich. The metropolitan population is around 1.3 million. The city is Switzerland's main commercial and cultural center, and is widely considered to be one of the world's global cities.ETH is in the middle of the city of Zurich and only 15 minutes from the airport.
