The University of San Diego (USD) School of Business Administration is committed to developing socially responsible leaders and improving global business practice through applied research and innovative, personalized education.
For over 30 years, the School has been a leader in offering just such an education. As a result, USD School of Business Administration graduates hold professional positions in high technology, new economy corporations, consulting firms, and other entrepreneurial endeavors throughout the Pacific Rim and beyond.
The Program

USD Graduates
USD delivers an MBA curriculum that is relevant to a world in need of business ethics, corporate values, and responsibility beyond the bottom line. We challenge our students to grow in interpersonal as well as technical skills, to bring value to their organizations, and to fulfill their professional dreams. Our MBA program concentrates on cultivating technical business acumen while affording each student the opportunity to pursue his or her passion in selected areas of emphasis. Offered at our beautiful and centrally located campus, our flexible class schedules allow both full time students and working professionals to progress through the curriculum at their own pace. Personal attention, small classes, and close student-faculty interaction add value to your MBA degree.
The International Master of Business Administration (IMBA) is designed for individuals interested in leadership roles in international businesses or organizations. This full-time, cohort based program develops managers and leaders with a global orientation and skills to succeed in the international marketplace.
Program flexibility and acceleration allow for degree completion in just 16 months on a full-time basis. The program includes a minimum of two international experiences, outside of the US. There are options for additional academic programs in a variety of locations.
All required core and breadth courses (accounting, finance, marketing, etc.) emphasize international topics and issues. The entire curriculum is designed for those wanting expertise in global business issues.
Program allows for in-depth coverage of international topics in courses such as international finance, international marketing, international law and ethics, etc.
International MBA students can also use electives for an area of emphasis.
The Faculty
Ranked among the top institutions of higher education in the United States, the University of San Diego prides itself as an institution dedicated to academic excellence. USD’s School of Business Administration faculty reflect this reality. Its members numbering over 70 Ph.D's, including five Fulbright Scholars, have authored more than 100 books in the last four years within their respective disciplines. During this same time period, they have published approximately 150 referred journal articles, edited six books and have had works published in over 300 scholarly proceedings. To add to their expertise, they have had extensive and varied experiences living and working outside of the U.S. and are frequently invited to speak at international conferences and seminars and consult for global organizations.
Entry Requirements
Admissions Requirements:
* Evidence of completion of a baccalaureate degree.
* At least two years of full-time professional work experience is expected for admission to the MBA program. Additional consideration may be given to candidates with substantial business experience.
* Minimum TOEFL score of 237/580 (international students only).
* GMAT Score from a test taken within the past five years.
Application Procedure

San Diego Skyline
The priority deadline for applying to the MBA Programs for fall matriculation is May 1. After May 1, applications will be reviewed on a rolling admissions basis. The priority deadline for spring matriculation is November 15. This enrollment option is available only for the Evening MBA for Working Professionals program which allows for beginning enrollment in both the fall and spring semesters. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. However, space is limited and applicants are strongly encouraged to apply as early as possible.
