The University’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program provides an opportunity for individuals to prepare for managerial positions in today's complex and dynamic environment.

The program places strong emphasis on:

  • the application of business theory to the realities of the business world;

  • a higher degree of scholarship and teamwork;
  • the recognition of the demands of an increasingly competitive, multicultural, global economy characterized by rapid technological innovation and superior product and service quality demands.

The MBA degree program consists of a prescribed pattern of graduate courses.

  • The entire program is based on a common core of courses which examines all the functions within a business enterprise and the external environment within which it operates 
  • Beyond this core, the student may choose to study in-depth in one of two academic concentrations (Management and Finance)
  • The University also offers three Graduate Certificate Programs in Global Investments, Corporate Finance and Leadership.

All graduate classes are conducted in the evening (18h30-21h30). This program primarily serves professionally employed part-time students however it is also possible to complete the program as a full-time student.

The MBA program's objectives are to develop:

  • Management decision-making skills for business, government, health care and non-profit organizations;
  • Ethical standards to provide a framework for responsible decision making;
  • Problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills in order to respond quickly and creatively to today's business problems;
  • Global awareness as more businesses compete in a world marketplace and the workplace itself becomes more diverse and multicultural 

To help students achieve these objectives, the University relies on faculty members who are dedicated to teaching. The faculty combine broad business experience and academic training which helps to make the learning experience at Sacred Heart University unique.
