We offer an intensive curriculum with a proven track record for training students in the fundamentals of business practices. This curriculum is uniquely innovative and flexible: it evolves in response to the constantly changing demands of the international business world. Courses are structured and creative assignments are used by faculty to accelerate students' command of complex multidisciplinary issues and develop their ability to cut across functional styles. Considerations critical to today's business climate, such as the applications of globalization, technology, work force diversity, quality management, ethics and entrepreneurial opportunities, are integrated throughout the curriculum.
Structure of the Program
Built on Lubin's tradition of combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience, the MBA curriculum focuses on integrated team-oriented approaches to contemporary business with an emphasis on globalization and technology. We break down the silos of a conventional MBA education and create an integrated approach to learning—a real-world education that reflects real-world situations. You'll start with a common core structured to emphasize today's greater connectedness across business fields. For instance, you'll take courses that combine marketing with electronic business, organizational behavior with leadership, and business strategy with stakeholder responsibility. The core covers business fundamentals and analytical skills and managerial breadth. Students can choose from a range of challenging Career Concentrations and the program is rounded out by Breadth Electives outside of their career concentration, which enable students to explore related interests. Team and experiential assignments involve students in practical application of theory. Critical business skills are developed early in the program and translate into new opportunities. For employed students, these skills often lead to greater job success long before graduation.
The MBA program has a residency requirement of a minimum of 46 credits in most of its career concentrations. All Lubin MBA students must be proficient in computing, business writing, and quantitative methods.
