The Oulu Business School MBA is a master’s level study programme in business administration.  The programme combines courses in accounting, economics, finance, international business, logistics, management & organization and marketi ng. The programme is a two-year, full-time MBA programme that allows students to get in touch and share their experiences with other students from multiple disciplinary bases during the regular course of study.

The main objective of Oulu Business School Full-time MBA programme is to equip its students with the skills that will enable them to recognize new opportunities in a dynamic business environment and constantly create new business. The faculty of the Oulu Business School is committed to providing professionals with the education they will need in challenging positions as managers and leaders of companies doing business in global markets.

MBA Programme Structure

The first year of studies consists of core courses in various business topics, providing students with a firm grounding in subjects such as accounting, finance, logistics, management, and marketing. The studies begin with an intensive orientation period that includes a team-based management simulation and management and leadership training.

During the summer, between the first and the second year of the MBA programme, it is possible for students to engage in an industry internship for educational credit. The majority of these internships will be offered within the knowledge-based, h igh-tech industries.

The elective courses and course modules chosen by the student during their second year of study provide an opportunity to specialise in specific areas of business. The course modules will be built according to a student’s individual intere sts. The second year of studies also culminates with a consulting project with an international corporation. The project is carried out in small groups, providing students with a personalised, interactive learning experience, as well as valuable contac ts with top executives in international companies.

Applying to the Oulu Business School MBA Programme

The Oulu Business School MBA Programme provides a high quality, international business education at a reasonable cost. The programme requires full-time study for two academic years and consists of 120 ECTS of coursework. The programme is taught co mpletely in English and is designed for both international and Finnish students with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (in business or in another relevant discipline). Applicants should preferably have a minimum of 3 years of work experience.
