MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION OU BUSINESS SCHOOL

To achieve an MBA is personally and professionally fulfilling. Since 1983, over 13,000 managers have achieved that goal through the OU Business School. It's a statistic that explains how we have become the largest business school in Europe. The new OU Business School MBA programme is highly flexible with a strong European perspective. A new Stage Two compulsory course joins the MBA programme in 2005, meaning that students starting the MBA programme at Stage One will now have the chance of completing the programme in 2.5 years. Students are not required to complete the full MBA programme in Russia, they may continue their studies in the other countries where the OU Business School MBA programme is presented.

STAGE 1

There are two routes into Stage 1 - Fast Track and Open Access

Open accessis
the Stage 1 route for those not meeting the fast track criteria and comprises the OU Business School Certificate and Diploma in Management. You need no prior qualifications to enter the Certificate programme.

Fast trackis
a single 12-month course BZR713 FUNDAMENTALS OF SENIOR MANAGEMENT. Applicants should have a UK honours degree (or equivalent), be at least 25 years old and have 4-year management experience. Study, tuition and assessment of this course is in English

STAGE 2

Stage 2. Compulsory

• BZR820 STRATEGY aims to develop the strategic decision-making skills of senior managers and provide an understanding of the rationale for strategy for middle managers.
  
  
• BZR830 MAKING A DIFFERENCE will develop your capability to make a real difference to organizational performance as a manager of leader. It will provide you with an integrated learning experience to enable you to make a difference both in your own organization and enhance your own personal professional development.

Stage 2. Course Options

• BZR821 FINANCIAL STRATEGY introduces the financial aspects of corporate management, with an emphasis on the use of financial tools relevant to middle and senior management.
  
  
• BZR822 CREATIVITY, INNOVATION AND CHANGE develops and promotes imaginative, flexible and practical thought and action.
  
  
• BZR824 MANAGING HUMAN RESOURCES introduces theoretical, conceptual and empirical human resource strategies.
  
  
• BZR825 MARKETING IN A COMPLEX WORLD addresses issues of complexity in marketing - on the premise that there are no simple answers in today's increasingly complex world.
