The International Executive MBA is a graduate program for senior executives designed to develop competencies, leadership abilities and self-improvement, through a continuing search for knowledge and an intense exchange of experiences among participants.
Created in 1992 by the FIA – Fundação Instituto de Administração, associated to the Faculdade de Economia, Administração e Contabilidade (FEA), this program includes a core of disciplines that articulation broad management concepts and create a channel for the expression and the development of strategic thinking, in the political, economic, technological and social dimensions of the organizational environment.
The International Executive MBA is internationally accredited by the AMBA-The Association of MBAs, with headquarters in United Kingdom, and is a member of the Executive MBA Council in the USA.
The program of studies in the International Executive MBA includes an International Competitiveness module that offers classes and visits to companies in Asia, United States and Europe. The executives visit the most dynamic regions of China, where they get acquainted to current public policies and entrepreneurial experiences. In the USA, the executives attend classes at Vanderbilt University, while in the European continent the classes are held at University of Cambridge, in England, and at E.M. Lyon, in France.
The experience offered by the international module allows the participants to compare countries and regions, offering a better understanding of the peculiarities and influences of different cultures on markets and organizations. Today, it is vital for the executives to be in contact with corporate cultures in countries that influence the global economic scenario to better manage their company’s business and their careers in an environment of international competitiveness.
