The Founder of IUBAT is Prof. M. Alimullah Miyan. He chairs a 9-member Board of Governors, which is the highest policymaking body. An Overseas Advisory Council provides guidance in academic matters.
IUBAT is organized into colleges and centers. Presently, there are six colleges:

Educational programs at IUBAT are offered by highly qualified personnel from around the world. The Faculty composition reflects the University's international and application orientation, that is there is a mix of career teachers and professional as well as industry experts offering courses at IUBAT.
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION
IUBAT is an English medium institution. This is primarily because students are being prepared for the modern world in local and international markets. The presence of local and international faculty & students create a cosmopolitan culture in the campus.

IUBAT maintains degree level transfer arrangements in the mid-course to different universities under articulation agreements with Indiana Purdue University at Fortwayne (IPFW), USA for BSEE & BSME degrees, University of Florida (UF) at Gainesville, USA for BSAG degree, University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), USA for BSN degree, University College of Cariboo (UCC), Canada for BBA degree and La Toba University, Australia for BBA degree.
Students of all bachelor degree programs have the option to transfer to the relevant programs of the University of Nebraska in Lincoln USA, Drexel University in Philadelphia, USA, University of Americas, Costa Rica, IHTTI, Switzerland under transfer agreements with these universities. Students also have the option to transfer to any of the cooperating universities of IUBAT or any other university of their choice under standing procedures of credit transfer and higher degrees.
