The Executive MBA Program

The Koç University Executive Master of Business Administration Program (EMBA) began in 1994, one year after the foundation of the University in 1993.The program enables mid-career professionals with a minimum work experience of 5 years to improve their managerial and leadership skills and to equip themselves with the analytical foundation necessary for higher levels in their careers.

The program is completed in thirteen months and students not only earn the same MBA degree as the students in our traditional MBA program, but are also exposed to the professional network and experience of their fellow classmates.

The primary objective of the program is to develop business leaders for the 21st century. Koç MBA's will most positively influence organizations by virtue of their management skills, and their ability to nurture creativity and change with high ethical standards in the global economy.

The design of the program allows students to complete their education without any disruption of work. It starts with a two-week full-time module in August. It continues with classes taught only on Saturdays to fit corporate lifestyles. The program ends with another two-week full-time module at the end of following August.

In consistence with this goal, the Koç EMBA program has been striving for the top since the beginning. In a decade, the program has grown in reputation, in applicant quality and cooperation with companies. In 2001, Koç University’s MBA programs were rated at the very top by Power Magazine in Turkey. A recent study sponsored by Frankfurter Allgemeine lists Koç Executive MBA program in the top 20 European Executive MBA programs.
