DeGroote Co-op MBA

The DeGroote Co-op MBA, Canada’s premier program of its type, has the proven track record for providing engaging, meaningful and rewarding graduate business education, consistently producing career-ready business professionals.

The DeGroote Co-op MBA combines your MBA education with developmental, career-oriented work experience. The Co-op option integrates classroom theory with real-world applications, providing many opportunities to develop and expand your network. Several specializations allow you to choose a field of study which enhances your skill profile.

An integral part of the innovative culture is a focus on experiential learning that enables you to gain hands-on experience that not only stimulates learning, but also leads to personal development and discovery.

Leading corporate partners, including BMO, Scotiabank, Ford, Sony Music and AstraZeneca provide paid Co-op job placements for students allowing you to earn while you learn.

Full-time MBA

Long regarded as one of the most innovative and results-based MBA programs in Canada, the DeGroote Full-time MBA is a carefully blended combination of practical and theoretical business education.

The 20-month program includes an emphasis on both the learning of business fundamentals, and the development of practical skills required for you to start your career.

In the second year, students can select from one of several specializations allowing you to choose a field of study which enhances your skill profile.

Some areas of specialization, including the prestigious eBusiness area, are unique in Canada. These allow you to get a jump-start on some of the most progressive, emerging career fields.

Accelerated MBA

If you have already completed an undergraduate degree in either business or commerce, or are a graduate of McMaster University’s Engineering and Management program, you can earn your MBA degree in as little as 8 months of Full-time study, or 20 months of Part-time study.

With your undergraduate business degree, you are eligible to receive advanced standing. Provided you meet all other admission criteria, you may be admitted to the second year of the Full-time or Part-time program.

The DeGroote Accelerated MBA is a significant new offering that provides business and commerce degree-holders a fresh new option to get the inside edge on their careers.

Part-time MBA

For students wishing to complete their MBA but unable to commit to a Full-time study schedule, the DeGroote Part-time option is an ideal alternative.

This option allows you to set your own study timetable, taking courses as you are able. Perhaps you want to remain in the workplace while studying. The Part-time MBA gives you the flexibility and balance you require. For your convenience, many MBA courses are offered in the evening, allowing you to work while earning your degree.

During the course of study, you will be able to choose a specialization, which optimally enhances your current skills profile.

You may take up to two courses per term, with the option of taking entire terms off, if needed. You have up to eight years to complete your degree with most students taking 4-5 years to do so.

Note: January admission is also available for
part-time studies only. The application deadline
is Nov. 1.
