PGPX is
a full time residential programme
for executives with substantial work experience
leading to a Post Graduate
Diploma in Management. |
| |
|
 |
The design of PGPX
is built on the Institute’s well established experience of designing
and running postgraduate management programmes for exceptionally
bright students and a wide range of executive education programmes
for practicing managers from many countries. It takes into account
the substantial and varied experience the selected executives
bring to the classroom. |
| |
|
 |
The objective of
the programme is to develop bright, enthusiastic, and aspirational
executives into management leaders and change agents in the
global arena. |
| |
|
 |
The programme has
a general management focus, with emphasis on managing across
borders and cultures. It has an international project besides
teaching content drawn from many countries. |
| |
|
 |
The programme is
open to executives of all nationalities. |
| |
|
 |
Executives who have
a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline and are
at least 27 by the start of the programme may apply. Corporate
sponsorship is welcome but not essential. Participants are selected
through a rigorous admissions process that includes GMAT (www.mba.com),
leadership profiling and personal interviews (either face to
face or via videoconference). |
| |
|
 |
At the end of the
programme, placement services are provided to non-sponsored
participants. |
| |
|
 |
World class infrastructure
has been created on the Institute’s hundred acre campus. Accommodation
is available for both single and married participants. |
| |
|
 |
The first programme
begins on April 2, 2006. The admission process will be completed
by September 30, 2005. Selected candidates will thus get about
six months between the confirmation of admission and the joining
date. This should help them plan their move to Ahmedabad.
The application form is available online. The deadline for submitting
applications is June 30, 2005. Scores of GMAT taken on or after
April 1, 2002 will be considered. GMAT score will be accepted
as follows: |
| |
|
| |
| Candidates located in India |
Up to June 30, 2005 |
| Candidates located outside India |
Up to August 10, 2005 |
|
| |
Candidates are required to have the official score sent from
ETS to IIMA soon after their submission of scores/application.
The application will be considered incomplete unless the GMAT
score is received from ETS. |
| |
|
 |
The programme fee
is Rs 800,000 for a single participant. This includes tuition,
academic expenses like programme material, library and network
charges, room and board. The fee also covers similar heads for
the international project and the travel to and from the host
country.
The Institute will attempt to facilitate bank loans and scholarships
as required. |
