Hey All...i have about a million tongues wagging around me warning me against opting for an International MBA because of the economic recession...and all this while I was of a mindset that if its further studies one wishes to opt for..this is the perfect time...!! or...is it??!!

I have in my hand offers for Surrey MBA,Glasgow and Brunel...i do know about these universities and their relevance to my exisiting field...but I would reaalllllyyy appreciate if someone already studying in UK..or planning to and has an idea about these colleges and their MBA programs can drop in a few lines for feedback...!!!!

These colleges have the requisite recognitions and the repute but if there is something I must know before I finalise a decision..I would so appreciate u for such an advise.

Thanks in advance...and hope to hear from u...anybody...somebody... :)

i wouldn't listen to these people - actually, a recession is the perfect time to do an MBA, and a lot of people are choosing to do just so! it has logic to it - when the economic situation is bad, you can afford take some time and invest in yourself(and that's always good)

Exactly..i so believed too but i had this strange man contradicting me saying that there is no guarantee the economy would have accelerated by the time one's course is over-sept '10 in my case and there is a great possibility that an investment as big as this could go for a loss! I mean here i leave my decently paid job anticipating an MBA which would kick start my career in a whole new frame n level..i cant help but wonder if it really would be a sincere decision for this year!!

I second Andy. even if the economic situation wont recover fully, there will always be a need for qualified Managers! or does he think that its the end of the world es we know it? if you are good, you will find a job after finishing the MBA - most schools have a carrier center, which can help - just try to find out how good it is before you enroll(you can try and contact alumni)

To be honest with you guys, unless you can come to the top 10 MBA of UK based on FT ranking which is pretty correct for UK schools then come to the UK else dont waste your money

Glasgow and Surrey surely arent help. Dont buy into the hype of old unis well-ranked and all that shit.

Reality is it aint worth it
