FINANCIAL CERTIFICATE FORM and I-20 : Please guide
Dear Forum members,Fri Jan 02, 2009 04:41 PM Hi! I am applying to some MBA schools in the US which require me to fill the financial certificate form to secure I-20. I want to ask you all 2 questions: 1. The financial certificate form requires me or my sponsor to show sufficient cash in bank to fund my studies. If I can show the equivalent amount as the sum total of cash in bank, bonds and mutual funds and immovable assets, is it acceptable by the University? Moreover, can bankers certify the worth of immovable assets or I have to get it certified by some other agency? 2. If I secure a US visa based on one I-20 form sent by a University and later on, after receiving an I-20 from a better University, if I change my mind to attend the second University, will I have to notify the embassy of change of school or go for Visa interview again. My queries could be too basic but I thank you for replying to these. Ankur |

Wed Jan 07, 2009 05:49 PM Thanks Ramki for the response to my second query. Could you shed some light on the first question as well. I'll be grateful. usually you have to show that you have enough money int he bank, you can deposit the money in the bank, get a certificate or passbook showing that you have enough money then either you can withdraw but dont get your passbook or statement reflecting that there are lot of agencies in india which charge a feee to deposit money in to your account and get your certificate i dont know any personally but i have heard you can show immovable properities but at visa interview they want hard cash to pay for your education my 2 cents, i live in USA so i havent gone thru this personally but heard from friends who wenrt to visa itnerview |

As you have to show sufficient bank balance to get an admission or I-20 or visa. You can contact www.credila.com. They provide education loan before you get I-20 and based on their loan sanction letter you can easily get your I-20 or admission to your desire university. So I would suggest you to just fill up the enquiry form online and credila team will get in touch with you very quickly.Tue Jan 20, 2009 06:35 AM www.credila.com/apply_for_loan.html [Edited by nainaa23 on 20 Jan 2009] |
