Hello there,

I am a U.S. based consultant looking for an U.S. or U.K. MBA program that gives me the possibility of studying for a semester (or more) on another campus in Europe. Kind of like a dual-MBA, but it doesn't have to be. Just an exchange program to get some experience abroad.

Any good ones to recommend? Thanks lads!

Alan

Take a look at Hult. US MBA. Study in Boston and take your electives in London.

Thanks. I can see from the other posts you made this morning that you studied there. Where did you do your elective term? London or Dubai?

Mannheim (Germany) may offer what you are looking for: You can spend two of the four terms at parter business schools in Europe (Warwick, Copenhagen, BI Oslo, EADA/Spain). There is also the possibility to spend one term at Queen's (Canada) or Thunderbird (Arizona).

Best,
JL

Yes I studied at Hult, but at a time when there was no elective abroad option. It is a recent innovation. Most recent students have been going to Shanghai.

I was there in 2005. My experience was good. My honest assessment is:

Teaching: excellent; Student diversity: excellent; Student quality: good; careers services: average; brand: poor (but understandable since a "new" school).

Looks to me like the school has come a long way in a short space of time since i graduated. But the general assessment above still holds from my discussions with recent alumni.

HEC in Paris has a dual degree with Stern and another new dual degree with the MIT (starting in sept 09)
You get to spend 1 year in the US and 1 year in France.
HEC is commited in teaching French to its students so I'd say it's a good choice if you want to study French. I'll also add that HEC is a prestigious institution in France and will be a great passport if you want to work there.

At the end, the student gets an MBA degree from both institutions.

I think a lot of US programs have study abroad options in Europe. Often you can do it only for elective classes... so most would opt to go for just one semester.

Hi Alan

Thanks for your question. If you just want to do an exchange, a lot of the top programs will already have partnerships with schools in Asia. You won't get a degree from both schools, but you will get the experience. I'm not sure what your stats are, but just go to Business Week, look at the schools in the top 20 and most--if not all--will have an exchange in Europe.
