Well, I think Germany is pretty good -- if you speak German fluently. Otherwise, MBAs are just not very useful there. I'm sure that Canada is still encouraging immigration, which Britain is not. And Britain's a huge magnet for talent, especially London, which means theres a lot of competition in an economy which is still depressed. I'd try Canada, Singapore, the UAE -- assuming that English is the only European language you know.

Well till date I do not know German !! So I do not think that even if I learn German in the meantime I would be able to speak it fluently by the time i complete my degree. That is surely a drawback I have.Sat Jul 09, 2011 12:17 PM My prime target happens to be Canada.I was looking for some other countries just in case if I cannot go to Canada (suppose if the visa is rejected and all). The other factors are that if I can get into a better school in some other countries should I still opt for Canada or should go to some other countries like in German or UK. How good an option is France.(Currently I have no idea about the job scenario and business schools in France). It is not that I did not think about Singapore. The three main schools in Singapore are 1)National University of Singapore 2) Nanyang Technological University 3) Singapore Management University. But being pragmatic I know it is very difficult to get into these schools because the quality of the applicants in these schools are really good. Most of them comes from well reputed companies with more than 3 years of work experience. May be I will apply in SMU and NTU but not sure. Can you suggest me some other good schools in Singapore which will be worth going to? Few of my friends in Singapore said that the job scenario and rate of hiring is really good in Singapore at this point of time. As far as UAE is concerned I really do not feel that it is an option worth to be tried. I have been working in the middle east for the last couple of years. So I know the culture here. Here the color of your skin, nationality and language you speak matters more than your qualifications, and the salary you get depends on these factors. It might sound harsh but it is a truth. |

France is good but, again, you need to speak the working language of the country fluently to be useful.Sat Jul 09, 2011 06:00 PM This website says there are eight fulltime programmes in Singapore: there's also INSEAD, James Cook University (which looks very strong: it's a directly-owned campus of the university in Australia), the University of Newcastle MNA at PSB Academy (which looks professional), Victoria University MBA at Singapore Institute of Commerce (which looks weak) and the Strathclyde MBA at the YMCA (which is primarily a part-time course). Excluding INSEAD, Strathclyde stands out -- but I am not sure the fulltime option is still running, and the YMCA will not have the same facilties that JCU and PSB have. A full-time option is not mentioned on the YMCA website, but Strathclyde has a great brand reputation. PS If part-time programmes were possible on your visa, then I would also look at the City University of New York MBA www.aventis.edu.sg/executive-mba.html [Edited by JK Duncan on 09 Jul 2011] |

Hello Duncan !!Sun Jul 10, 2011 05:09 PM I just did go through the website of JCU Singapore campus, it really seems to be good. According to them most of the students got employed after graduation. Tuition fees is pretty affordable. So seems to be a good bet. Thanks for the suggestion. |

Hi Pritam,Fri Mar 30, 2012 08:34 PM My application to join the MBA program at Hochschule Furtwangen has recently been accepted. I was wondering if you have also applied for the program starting this October. If yes, then we could start a forum and discuss details like Visa processing etc. This could help other applicants as well. |

Hi,Sun May 13, 2012 06:25 PM I don't think there's something like you ask. I suggest you to check here scn.sap.com/community/uac by the way SAP alliance program is mostly towards undergraduate education (I know that they have partnerships with IE, Cranfield, ecc) in many cases leading to a sap associate certification (FI, SD) If I remember well SAP is one of the companies supporting ESMT |

Sun May 13, 2012 07:35 PM Maubia , Hi, I can't suggest you anything ... I only shared part of my past education research. By the way you should ask which type of certification this program leads! With 12y experience .. a SAP associate certification wouldn t add much to your profile. But.. just my 2 cents |

I agree with maubia. I think would think that, if you truly needed SAP certification, you should do a dedicated certificate program. This isn't normally an offering in MBA programs, as they're aimed at management level career growth, not technical skill development. Mon May 14, 2012 11:56 AM For long-term job growth, you're going to want to do an MBA with international accreditation, like HHL Leipzig, Mannheim Business School, or ESMT. Unfortunately, there are no tech-based MBAs in Germany - but a general MBA from one of these accredited schools would arguably be sufficient. Maubia , |

Look at the internationally-accredited programmes. HHL is good. Also look at Mannheim, GISMA, WHU and ESMT. Mon May 14, 2012 05:57 PM Also, work on your English. A higher TOEFL score will help you make more of an impact in class rooms and job interviews. |

I am pretty sure you can find answers to this from the schools and by reading through this discussion board. When you've done some research, come back with some more specific questions.Wed May 16, 2012 11:51 AM HHL has great outcomes. Offenburg looks okay. BSEL seems very weak. |

I visited GISMA before the move. The programme and the students really impressed me. The content is great, and really well taught. The Purdue MBA is a very solid, and it's half price there. Mon May 06, 2013 08:25 AM When I last saw stats, the average salary from there was 64k EUR, so mid-way between the top tier (WHU, HHL, Mannheim) and other accredited programmes like Pforzheim and Esslingen. It's a small school, and that's its major weakness. Looking on LinkedIn, it seems that 40% of the alumni are in Germany but many of them are not Germans. Xing would be a better guide, of course, for Germany. The good thing about the campus change is that GISMA has survived. Originally it was a ten year project initiative by Gerhard Schroeder, and the fact that Purdue has continued to be involved and that it at last has a home in a larger organisation is good news. |
