Dear all,Mon Aug 11, 2008 07:32 AM sorry for disturbing, but any one know any information regarding doing MIBA program at Eslsca-Egypt is it good or not please i am too confused, i am matching all the requirments and deadline for registeration is 24/8 please advice www.eslsca.fr |

Hi,Mon Aug 11, 2008 12:45 PM I'm no expert on Egyptian MBAs. Are you referring to the MBA offered at Arab Academy Graduate School of Business (AAGSB)? I would start by looking here: www.find-mba.com/egypt The course is offered in cooperation with the École Supérieure Libre des Sciences Commerciales Appliquées (ESLSCA) in Paris, France, which is a bonus. Yes I know about ESLSCA Egypt.. it is an international study with 3 majors, it entails global view subjects with practical applications in all field. You can attend one course in France it is also accredited from the supreme council in France since 1971.. i do recommend you to go in person and take the full information.. also you can apply at OUDA in Arkadia mall , I personally went to apply for they offer a scholarship given by the UNDP and OUDA contact person there is Mr. Mohamed Essay, or you can go to ESLSCA Campus in Cairo, located at 6 El Woroud St. Mohandessin.Wed Aug 13, 2008 06:18 PM Good luck you can post me your inquiries. The most obvious place to put any info on accreditation would be their website. A fairly detailed trawl, however, didn't result in anything of the sort. I notice they repeatedly stress their close links to the French educational system, and in my view that only makes it even more surprising that they don't say anything about accreditation, as any decent French/European MBA programme would.Sun Nov 30, 2008 01:00 PM As for rankings, well, given that they don't appear to be accredited, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to learn that they don't - as far as I recall - feature in anyone's top 100. |

Why not just contact them, and ask for it - i am sure you can get the email address at the website. And as for the ranking - i allso don't think they would appear in any!

I have been to this forum before a couple of weeks ago while searching for the best MBA program to enroll in and noticed that there were different points of view for everyone!! I decided to do my own research and here is what i found.Wed Dec 31, 2008 10:41 AM I started by asking some of the professors in cairo university about their own recommendations about the programs and who teaches and stuff like that, the best from this point was AUC's program then ESLSCA's program then GUC and Riti (similar) then programs offered by Cairo and Ain Shams then any other programs. I then compared the prices of these programs: AUC was extremely expensive (over EGP 70,000), ESLSCA was reasonable (average of EGP40,000) which is almost the same as Riti and GUC. That is when I started to be interested in ESLSCA and decided to know more about it as AUC wasn't within my budget at all. - MIBA is Master of International Business Administration which is the same as MBA but with an international orientation. - ESLSCA is accredited in France from the Council of Higher Education (from ESLSCA France website). - ESLSCA was not accredited in Egypt as it had an agreement with the Arab Academy Graduate School of Business (AAGSB) which is not accredited in Egypt as the Arab Academy is not considered a University in Egypt. (check the accredited universities on the Egyptian university network www.eun.edu.eg) - ESLSCA now has an agreement with the Egyptian E-Learning University (www.eelu.edu.eg) giving its certificates the required recognition in Egypt under the umbrella of the Ministry of Higher Education in Egypt. - If you enroll in ESLSCA you receive TWO degrees when you finish, one from ESLSCA (accredited outside Egypt) and another from EELU (accredited inside Egypt). The last point was the location, ESLSCA is in Mohandessin area while AUC and GUC are in New Cairo which is very inconvenient for anybody working downtown or in 6th of October City!!! Considering all the previous plus the fact that ESLSCA Egypt has over 800 alumni members working in the best multinational companies in Egypt and the Middle East, I decided to enroll in their program. They also offer several tracks which is a strong plus for the program as I am still confused about which track to take. I hope this information helps anyone in choosing!! I will keep you all updated in a few weeks when I start and get to know the disadvantages of ESLSCA!!:) |

I have an experience with eslsca and here it is my commentsWed Dec 31, 2008 10:49 AM Pros: Providing very close educational level to that of AUC,GUC,RITI & AASCGB for the main courses (economics, marketing, international marketing, finance and strategic management) where instructors and material are almost the same. 18 month only to get your MBA It costs 7300 USD International MBA You will find an opportunity to learn (if you wish), Cons: Usually exams are easy (i.e. it is easy to get the MBA) Intermediate English language Intermediate Reputation Weak program implementation Other courses rather than mentioned above in the pros are laying between intermediate and weak |

Hi everyoneSat Jan 17, 2009 12:04 PM I'm a student in Eslsca,class 25 (they are 30 classes now). I started on October 2007 and have 4 subjects to go to get my MIBA. What I want to say here is that Eslsca Egypt has got the finest and most Reputable doctors among the whole Egyptian post graduate study universities. Most of the doctors teaching here are also lecturing in the AUC & the GUC. Courses are comprehensive yet not as hard as they look to be in the start of the study. It has a perfect, flexible schedule that suits everyone especially whohas a perfect, flexible schedule that suits everyone especially how works. The Eslsca administration is one of the finest I have met in Egypt and they are always keen and work for the best for the students. God be with you all. |

Well mnhussen, I am still in the beginning so I can not really judge the whole program... till now I am satisfied and it was even better than i thought before!! The schedules are very convenient, most of the professors are excellent and if you put the effort you will really benefit!! Tue Mar 24, 2009 03:04 PM I have compared this to a friend of mine that went to another university and has almost the same subjects but without the practicality and with much easier exams!! The best part is that ESLSCA's repitition in the business environment is very good and prestigious. |

As i mentioned before I am pretty much satisfied with the service I am getting for what I paid... Concerning Ain Shams I don't really know as I never heard anything positive when it comes to a public university involved in the process!! There are always administration problems and lack of flexibility and credibility.. but this is only my opinion you can check with someone studying there to get a more accurate reply...Mon Apr 27, 2009 12:24 PM Concerning AUC I am sure they are excellent and their program will be very useful if you are willing to pay that amount of money in it!! Overall I think you should consider the benefits you will get versus the large amount you will invest in it... will the return on your investment be enough to cover that amount or not!!! |

If You just want to have the MBA on your CV then I would suggest ESLSCA or any other in Egypt but If you are realy looking for education and an international school with a brand worth of associating yourself with...I would recommend going for one of the top 50 business schools in thw world which ofcourse non of them are in Egypt. chose a school that is common among the top ranked schools by the financial times, business week, EIU and the forbes. Its a huge investment if you will not be considering a scholarship which are some how limited to Egyptians. Think big and think different!! Try to differentiate yourself from the 99% of the Egyptian graduates and get a real education at a top school even if it means that you will have to invest all the money you have!! BUT - anyone who is not willing to take such a step because he just cannot bare the risk should not wish for something better in his career. Taking your MBA from a top business school is a totally different experience. You cannot compare it to an MBA from any school what so ever in Egypt. Its as if you are comparing a FIAT (MBA from Egypt) to a MERCEDES (World-Class MBA)!! What ever you will do to the FIAT it will always be a FIAT and you'll never ever be able to compare it to a MERCEDES! What I realy wish for is that we can do like the french students who did their MBA at Harvard in the 1950s and came back to France and established INSEAD which became now a rival to Harvard and the top business schools in the world!! Just to cut the story short, you can take a loan or you can apply to scholarships or you can sell your apartment which you may have bought or expecting to buy mayb to get married - I dunnow the personal issues of everyone but all what I know is that if you want to get an MBA or any other High Quality Education from anywhere in the world - you'll always find a way! What we should be concerned about is that - those who take their MBAs from top schools should come back to Egypt to work and improve the calibers! Never heard of it plus it should be THE AMERICAN ACADEMY IN EGYPT if it even exists!! Non of the accrediting institutions is even a University or a known business school! Ha Ha Haaaaa – There isn’t a northern government in Australia in the first place so that there would be a Southern government – Come on…give us a break!! Who is the dumb who wrote that!!!
