MSc or MBA
‘I have completed Bachelor of Technology in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. I am keen to do my masters now and so looking forward to UK universities for my higher studies. Since I am a fresher, I am not getting MBA there in good Universities but getting options for MSc with any business subject preference. Is this going to be a right choice for me? Hi,Mon Jul 14, 2008 09:27 PM I think it really depends what your ideal career is, and what sector you want to work in. Although the difference between a MSc and a MBA usually is not too vast, there are some important differences. Usually, a couple of years of working experience are required for entering a MBA program whereas no working experience is required for a MSc program. The underlying reason is that practical aspects and situations are the core of an MBA. Working experience is central to the MBA programme and is usually the starting point for personal development. The MSc program is much more a combination of theory and practice. Although practice is fully integrated in the curriculum, the MSc program is much more academic. |
