I have 5 year work expereince with citigroup and i Make approximately 38 thousand rupees a month.Fri Jul 11, 2008 12:46 AM I am confused between Swansea--AMBA Accredaited and tution fee 10900 Pounds Oxford Brookes--AMBA Accredaited and tution fee 15000 Pounds(near london) Glasgow--AMBA Accredaited and tution fee 16000 Pounds I am interested in either Swansea(Less tution fee) but not sure if it would be worth spending money in Glasgow as the diffrence is aproximately 4 lac |

Dear Sir... I realize your problem and its can be hrd to decide when you are taking money into account. My advice would be simple... for a minute.. think of this MBA as the greatest investment of your life... A few thousand pounds seem a lot right now.. but as a student of business you have to look at it in the long term and the results you will get by investing that much extra into the program... that said I do not mean that an expensive MBA is a better MBA... Glasgow has a good reputation and is a well respected University. Fri Jul 11, 2008 12:53 AM Swansea on the other hand is not as reputed as a Business University.... Oxford Brookes.. I honestly do not have an opinion on that as I do not know enough about them... I would still ask you to go through their websites again.. go through the admissions office.. ask them these questions and compare their answers... try getting alumni contacts from the admissions office and contact their alumni... good business schools are always happy to give out alumni info and their alumni are always happy to help... |

Thanks for you inputFri Jul 11, 2008 01:07 AM I am pretty happy with glasgow reviews however there are still some questions un answered so far. 1.Like India does recruiters in UK actually keep in mind the university you have done your MBA from 2.Is there Placement services 3.What is the average salary of an International MBA student post his course 4.I have 5 years work expereince as Sr Buisness Analyst with Citigroup Mumbai will this help getting better position and salary package 5.Would it be worth putting that extra 4 lac in glasgow over Swansea 6.Is AMBA accredation MBA makes any diffrence while hunting for Jobs. I might be sounding pretty confused as this is a big decesion for me and this place looks like the perfect place for discussion |

Most of these questions can be answered by reading through articles from Guardian, Times Online, FT and so on. The eventual decision to spend teh money and choose a school is your responsibility... you have to widen your research and take actual time to investigate all of this...
