Hi

While there are many smaller business schools in UK do not require working experience for their MBA entry, I would advise you to short list some top business schools in the country for your MBA study after you gained some valuable working experience, if you intend to look for a job in UK.

Good luck.

Kind regards,
Thomas

Hi varun

Would you mind to share a little bit more about your background, and the country you would want to go after your MBA?

Kind regards

Hi varun

If you are thinking to work in India after your MBA education in UK and have no intension to stay in Europe for work. I would suggest you to apply any schools that is in the top 20 there. You may use the MBA ranking provided by Business Week or Fortune. These schools are also either accredited by AACBB and/or EQUIS, which is very important to you to enhance your future career.

Good luck.

Kind regards,
Thomas

I am too looking for MBA without work experience in UK. I have applied to Liverpool John Moores University, Cardiff University and Abeerdeen University. Are these good universities to persue my MBA degree? will there be any problem for me to extend my Visa with this new Point Based System for another 2 years if I want to work there for few years to repay my Education loan and then came back to India.

How about your degree? Im following 3 years general degree. This is the last month of my degree. Currently im following my internship at a company. That means i have 6 months work experience. But the thing is it is a part of our degree not an employment. Actually it is a training.
Have you got an answer from those universities dear?

Actually I have just completed my Bachelor of Technology in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. I have also undergone a 1 month training for a company but that is not going to serve the purpose of work experience, that is just a training. And so I have applied to these universities for MBA without work experience and I have got conditional offer letter from Cardiff university and Liverpool John Moores University till now. I am planning to go for this September session. When are you planning to go? Have you applied to any university? Have you appeared for IELTS exam?

Hi all aspiring professionals,

Instead of looking for MBA without work experience, which may eventually do not value add your personal portfolio too much, you could consider look for some good master in arts or masters in science programmes in the top universities in Europe. Some good universities offer "almost" free master programmes, even if you are a foreigner.

Good luck.

Kind regards,
Thomas

Not to blow my own trumpet or anything, but I've just posted something about Liverpool here: www.find-mba.com/board/7058/last/#last

To which I would add, unless you think the school is better, avoid Cardiff like the plague. South Wales, and Cardiff is no exception, is a dump. The only good thing about Cardiff as a city is that it's just across the Severn Estuary from Bristol.

Hi

It is not difficult to study for a MBA without work experience, as long as one is willing to pay.

However, I would encourage you to consider the following:

1) Why do you want to study for MBA? Is it because you want to get a piece of certificate? Or is it because you want to venture into new business areas to strengthen your career prospects?

2) What do you think your future recruiters would look for when they are hiring MBAs? Is it only your business education in school? Or is it also your pre-MBA work experience?

MBA without work experience is possible. Many b-schools offer this. However, if you want to truly benefit from one good business programme to strengthen your knowledge, skills sets, networks and move your career forward, ALL good MBA programmes would require you to have some solid work experience.

Best regards,
Thomas

Hey there,
Just wanted to put in my two cents. I understand that you probably just want to get the MBA out of the way ASAP, but on average, most schools require you to have 2-3 years of working experience. It would be hard to get accepted anywhere, unless you've got strong leadership experience. Also, it's not just an issue with getting in or not, it's about what you can get out of the program. WIthout work experience, you really won't find the theory applicable, and frankly, those 1-2 years in MBA qwould become a waste.

If you want to work in India post MBA, why don't you consider ISB? That's in India though. Otherwise, if you want a good UK school, then look into top 20 as another poster suggested. LBS, and Oxbridge are unquestionably the strongest brands
