Hi Virals, Madevm,

I can understand your concern and situation. From the information that you have shared with me, I believe studying for a distance MBA maybe the best option for you two.

In general, I usually do not advise MBA aspirers to study distance MBA programme, because even though earning a distance MBA allows you to earn a MBA title, business reality shows that a distance MBA title might not be as helpful as you wish in the perspective from the recruiters in large international firms.

When many multi-national companies are recruiting for team leads or managers in leading their teams, many recruiters are looking for MBAs from good schools. In India, IIM is a good school; In Singapore, you could consider NTU, NUS, or SMU; In Hong Kong, you could consider HKUST, CU, HKU; In China, you could consider CEIBS; all the schools listed above are highly recognized in the Asia Pacific Region.

If you don't know the school names that I mentioned above, simply yahoo or google the school names and you could find a lot of information about their MBA programmes, previous recruiters for their MBAs, and selection criteria.

However, in your situation, since you want to continue doing your job in the country, maybe learning your MBA from the distance mode appear to be the best option. Among hundreds of distance programmes offered, I would suggest you to consider the U21 Global Distance MBA programme. This programme has been awarded the prestigious European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) accreditation for technology-enhanced learning (CEL) and it has offices in several parts in the world (e.g. Mumbai, Bangalore, Singapore, Dubai etc)

More information can be gained from www.u21global.edu.sg

All the best.

Kind regards,
Thomas
