The best place to start is here: www.find-mba.com/new-zealand so you can at least get a complete picture of which schools you should be targeting your research at. Of the ones mentioned, only Otago is mentioned at all in the Economist rankings (mba.eiu.com/index.asp?layout=school_snapshot&unive…). Although it doesn't quite make it into the top 100 in the world, it's still probably the best in NZ. And anyway, the world is a very big place. Here's a useful article on MBA programmes in New Zealand I pulled off the Financial Times website:

Hi everyone!! I am a Biochemistry student, about to graduate and wanting to switch from science to an MBA.
Which MBA and which college would best suit me?
Do I need to take other courses first, since it will be the 1st time I study administration?
Is it too ambitious to hope to start an MBA after I graduate from Biochemistry?
Tnx ya all!

Hallo Danielle,

Well, Doing an MBA is a great way to start a new carrier, but bare in mind that most MBA programs require 2-3 years of work experience.

I don't know if u will need to do any other courses before, but you will have to take a GMAT Test, as most school require it.

as for the school, it really depends where you want to be! you can start looking for the right school for you here on th site, using the great search option.

Good luck,

Andy
