Oxford Brooks - Distance MBA
Hi. I am looking for a distance MBA course in UK so that I can work and study at the same time. I do not have to much money to spend and I have been looking at the following distance learning MBA's univ.:Mon Feb 18, 2008 09:13 AM - Imperial Collage - Oxford Brooks - Warwick From the list the cheapest one is Oxford Brooks (£9,900) but is it eny good. Could not find this MBA in any of the rankings. Some people say the univ. overall is good but how about the MBA. Would you recommend it to someone who has a samll amount to spend ? PS: I am planning to do an MBA and then go back to Poland. Thanks [Edited 18 Feb 2008 by hellows] |

Didn't see this one, sorry.Thu Feb 21, 2008 06:27 PM Imperial and Warwick are another league, if you have enough funding, you should go for oe of them. How expensive are they, a lot more tha Oxford Brookes? |

Oxford Brooks - Distance MBA
I'm with jona on this one. I have some experience of working both at Oxford Brookes and within the University of London (of which Imperial is a part). The difference in the quality of students is very great - Imperial is, if I recall correctly, a member of the Russell Group of colleges and universities which comprises the top tier in British academia. Brookes, because it is relatively new and comparativiely small, is not. That's not to say it's all bad, however. As I wrote on here a couple of days ago, in some areas Brookes scores higher than Oxford University (at least if you go by official rankings). Brookes also has a number of first-rate staff members in all departments, and the quality of its graduate intake is higher than at undergrad level. And, as you say, it's cheaper. My only concern is that for something like an MBA one is better off going to a more recgonised institution if at all possible.

You are directed to expand the capacity of your plant owing to increasing demand. How would you accomplish this task?
