Imperial vs. Cambridge
Hi, I want to pursue an MBA in the near future, and as one of my top choices, I'm choosing between Imperial College (Tanaka Business School) of Cambridge (Judge Business School). Mon Feb 04, 2008 07:00 AM Which do you think is a better overall choice, including post-MBA job opportunities? Personally, I'll pick Imperial College... Thanks! |

Hi,Fri Mar 28, 2008 03:36 PM Yes I agree, I would pick Imperial as well. I have applied to both, but now I think because of the class size, the location, and the course content I will focus on Imperial. I'm hoping I will be accepted to both schools, so I can pick between the two schools, my GMAT score is 680 and I have 5 years work experience in consulting in the USA,UK and Europe. |

Yep, definitely take Tanaka over Cambridge. It has a very good reputation. And Cambridge is a dead-end town. London swings.

Woah! Correction. Just checked the 2007 rankings and Cambridge placed 7th, Imperial 58th. Maybe I was a little premature. London's still swinging, but you can always get there very easily on the train.

Well, I think Cambridge has a higher reputation on a worldwide scale, is well known everywhere in the world. No one will say "I never heard of it". Tanaka's reputation is of course good too. But the FT table ranks Cambridge higher than Tanaka. Whatever you study at Cambridge, it is its reputation bringing you foreward. Even if the quality of the programme at Tanaka is better, I'd go for Cambridge.
