MBA in Germany/Switzerland
Hi guys, I'm a 28 year old Asian, I haven't done bachelors but i have seven years of industry experience in four different countries. Currently i'm following an MBA(I) program in my home country but i would like to make most out of the time I have to spend doing masters by doing it abroad From my initial research Germany & Switzerland look interesting but their entry requirements seem to be tight and my plan is to transfer credits and join a program after completing the first semester, think it's feasible? Can you guys help me with some suggestions on programs and countries ? (btw i only speak english)

I was once browsing business schools in Spain and encountered a school which accepted applicants without a first degree but with some related job experience. I don't remember the name though. Prepare a good letter and send it to the schools where you wish to apply to in order to pursue your MBA and I am sure one will give a reply in the end. |

I'm afraid the only way you're going to know what your options are is to go through the list and check them out one by one. But, like Sarah_A says, if you're not sure, and if you think you can make a good case for yourself, apply anyway. It sounds like you've got all the experience you need, even without a first degree.Fri Dec 07, 2007 07:25 PM As a side note: I once knew someone who managed to talk his way onto a good degree course at a first-rate university on the strength of having saved someone from drowning, even though he had no qualifications to speak of. Not that you need to go quite that far, but don't be too put off if the place you like the look of most doesn't immediately seem viable. German and Swiss schools often teach in English, or sometimes German and English. |

Some collages did come back to me with quick replies opening discussion while 2 gave me an outright "NO" Will keep you guys posted on the progress through this thread. Hi Junior, Wed Jan 09, 2008 01:25 PM There is no general rule for credit transfer, each school has it's own individual regulations. But I am sure that you can negotiate these kind of things if your application is good and interesting for the school. Which schools did you consider for the moment? I did some research on the German part of Europe. Maybe I can help you out with some info, if you need. |

I spent some time at WHU on exchange from another MBA program and was impressed with what I saw. Sharp professors from good schools. Similar in a few ways to the approach at BMI.Thu Jan 10, 2008 08:43 PM The vast majority of the student body is German. I cannot speak about job prospects in Germany for International students. Hello, I'm also looking for an MBA in Germany/Switzerland, I made my research and I found 2 full time mba programs that I really like: Uni. Mannheim and European Business School. Has anybody heard something about these programs? Also, does someone know about an interesting MBA program in Munich taught in english?
