Hi there,
An EMBA might be a very good choice to enance a career change. It is a degree for professionals with consistent work experience - several years in positions of responsiblity - ithaving a clearer picture than students of their professional goals and of their qualities/fields to improve.
If you chose the right one, the EMBA is a program taught on a high level aiming at boosting your career, usually with a significant increase of responsibility and income. But be aware: there are quite a few programs not worth while.

Anyways, if you decide to go for an EMBA it is ideal if you have defined your career goals before. but I presume that it can be a help also to define your orientation during the program. Only, it will not be a effective, since not targeted. And it is quite an investment, probably you should have an idea which direction you'd want to go afterwards.
