MBA in Sao Paulo
I'd like to learn about the MBA programs in Brazil, and particularly Sao Paulo. I've read that Getulio Vargas and Ibmec are well reputed. I would like to know if these are really the best programs. Are there other good MBAs. And also, are there differences between those programs? Thank you!

Yes, Fundacao Getulio Vargas is the ones Ive heard, but probably most of the Brazilians consider that an MBA in a well reputed US or European school is a better investment.Sun Apr 29, 2007 04:58 PM Also ,there is another school, but I think that is more for Executive Education. |

I would see it that way too, Brazilians, as most Latin Americans, if prefer to do their MBA abroad, the US is their favortite if they can afford.Mon Apr 30, 2007 12:55 PM That does not mean that there are no good schools. Coppead is an excellent school, but be aware that the English language MBA is a program where you'll study at several partner schools around the world, which means that the stay in Brazil is quite limited, some months. Besides that MBA you can only do an EMBA in Protuguese at Coppead. Fundação Getulio Vargas offers an EMBA only, and instruction language is Portuguese. The EMBA at Universidade de Sao Paolo is good I have heard. But only their EMBA is in English. Their MBA on the other hand is only in Protuguese, and attendance is VERY local, plus there are almost no students from outside Latin America. To give you an idea: Last year only 5% of students came from abroad, and of those 98% were Latin American countries, only 1% from Europe. A very Brazilian experience! Is there any entrance exam that I'll have to clear, and if so can I give it from India or not? and also if all the classes are in Portuguese then does the university provide any preparatory course for it? What is the fees structure and all sort of other information is also welcome here's my brief resume * 3 years full time diploma in computer engineering from from Asia's 3rd top polytechnic . * Bachelor's degree in computer engineering (not finished yet). * Few industrial trainings. * Some experience in software development. I will be highly obliged if anyone of you can provide me any kind of information. regards |
