Hi everyone,

I am looking for Management or Business Masters in Europe not requiring work experience. Does anyone know good schools with such programmes?

The Association of MBAs (www.mbaworld.com) has a special accreditation for "Pre-Experience Masters in Management" (PEMM). I would suggest checking their webpage, although this accreditation is still quite recent. For MBA programs it is necessary (for admission) and highly recommended (for yourself) to have work experience.

but i believe there must be more to these school, similar to the masters in management programme in vlerick gent in belgium. management programmes for young college grads in spain, netherlands and so on?

anyone have any opinion to more good options in schools?

well, did you check the page jaitego advised? Because there is a long list of schools which correspond to what you are looking for, INCLUDING Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School, as well in Netherlands, France (but not Spain)...
In my opinion the requirement of some years of work experience before doing an MBA makes a lot of sense though. Don't you think?

Yeah I believe that work experience is essential for an MBA. But what I want to receive is getting a general business basis, before starting to work professionally, as a new engineer grad. I think this is big and important market for schools because a greater portion of young grads consider doing Masters, compared to professionals stopping to work and then study a Masters programme. I agree that Vlerick's programme is amazing. I want to find similar programmes to that. Not MBA, but International master in Management.

If I understand right, you're not looking for an MBA then? Because you can do all kinds of Master degrees in your field, which are just a direct continuation of your actual studies - without any working experience inbetween, just in order to specialise more.
But then I would not look among MBA programs in your, they tend to be (very) costly (or not worth doing), and why should you spend that money if a regular University degree would suit you?

I would suggest you EADA in Barcelona, they have intl masters in different areas and also the intl. master in management.

I've been recommended by an actual student.

You misunderstood me. Yeah it will be a direct continuation to my university studies, but in a different area. I won't be specializing in my engineering field, but do a general management or business master. Isn't that a good plan in your opinion.

In my opinion it would be a good idea to do a master degree, if you want to specialize in a different area than your studies until now, but not an MBA. Why? Because as I pointed out, an MBA costs a lot of money, or if not, is not good. An MBA will give you the qualification you are looking for, but other masters might as well do. But if money is not a problem, do an MBA, sure! ;)
Did you check out EADA? What do you think?

Hi, do you want to do an MBA or some other sort of master degree? Because I'm afraud, if you're looking for information about other degrees in economy than MBA, you'll probably not find it on this board, dedicated to the exchange of info about MBA.

Hi,

It is pretty commenly known that mba programms that do not require work experience are generally not that great. Nor is the idea of trying to get one before you have worked, it defies the whole purpose of an mba.

Exactly! I wonder why still one of most common questions on this board is: "Can somebody tell me how to find an MBA not requring work experience?"

There seems to be a general lack of information about MBA. I think people tend to mix up an MBA with a regular master degree (I pointed out that difference before)
