IE and IESE are said to be great programmes, and they do very well in the rankings in the recent years.

Don't forget ESADE either. Both, ESADE and IESE also have a Barcelona campus. So my advice would be: Go to Barcelona and enjoy the coast of the Mediterranean!

You shouldn't go for an MBA if you are just finishing college. It is very important to have work experience before you go into one of these programs. In fact, you will not get into good programs if you don't have some reasonable work experience. And you won't learn as much either, even if you get in.

Hello Piero, I completely agree with Jaitego about the work experience. It does not make any sense to do an MBA right after finishing you degree because an MBA is made for people with working experience.Tue Nov 21, 2006 12:45 PM Besides, look at the admission regulations, most of the serious, good schools require several years of working experience! But of course it is good to look around already and get information, to get prepared early enough for your MBA experience in 3 or 4 years... |

I agree with Katalina and Jaitego - work experience is important for three reasons:Wed May 30, 2007 03:11 PM 1. You will come into the MBA with questions that will make the answers you find in the MBA meaningful 2. You will contribute to the learning of others in the program (key criteria for admission) 3. You will be much more attractive to employers post MBA. Full Disclosure: I am participating in the FIND MBA board as an excercise to provide an illustration for a segment I am teaching of the course "What the CEO wants you to know" at BMI www.barcelonami.org One of the readings for the segment is www.wired.com/wired/archive/15.04/wired40_ceo.html…… Click on Post MBA for more biographical info.
