Does anybody know which IT consulting firm pays it consultant the most? What percentage of bill rate do they pay?

I am thinking tata consultancy is big payment consulting company in india. My friend is work there and is very rich, before he was work there he was not rich. Now he have big car and big bank balance.

With due respect I would suggest that before you comment you should get them proof read as your english seems very poor. Further you cannot answer a general question with only one example of your friend so please do appropriate research before you contribute to make it useful for all readers.

Saroo, thanks for the input, do you know the percentage of bill rate your friend made at Tata? For instance, if they billed 100, how much did he make? And does anyone else have experience with consulting firms that they can recommend?

Consulting firms don't work that way directly. They don't pay employees a set percentage of the project they work on.

Why not find someone who works for a consulting firm and have a cup of tea with them? Or read a book about management consulting?

I checked with my friend, he confirmed that they dont pay any amount directly linked to billing but he gets annual performance based bonus which constitutes significant portion of his total package.

Looking more specifically at IT consulting companies pay the best.

Saroo, is there any way to get some more clear numbers from your friend so that we could figures things out? Anybody out there that has run a consulting project with an IT firm that they are willing to share?

I'm sorry, but your question is really naive, and it would take too long to convince you - it might not be even be possible. Broadly speaking, companies pay the market rate. They don't may employees a share of the earnings from individual projects. Average salaries don't matter, because they are skewed by the differing business models.
