Hola a todos,

It's Mahdiar, from Persia. I have a master degree in engineering, and more o less a background in Sports journalism.

I really enjoyed this forum, and decided to ask for help here.

Now I am looking for a MBA course in Spain. I have visited many universities and schools websites. But have not found the perfect one yet.
- There are private schools with a very high price, such as IESE or ESADE as you mentioned very well.
- There are also public universities such as CEPADE-UPM, UB and UAC with lower prices around 8.000 Euros, but I think they don't have the same quality as private ones, do they?

I wonder if there is and scholarship, or MBA program that also offers a part-time job during or after the program? Ibelieve that it is very important to be involved with a program that offers you many job opportunities (in Spain or out of Spain) after graduation or even during the programme.

I have another question. Does anybody know about the Spanish language MBA course by Universidad Europea de Madrid (UEM) - Real Madrid Futbol Club, on Gestion y administracion (Alfredo Di Estefano) ?! I have visited their website. but need some info about the price, the quality, and the degree.

Hi persian friend,

Besides ESADE and IESE have a look in IE (Madrid) and EADA (Barcelona), the last one is the cheapest but has accreditations and is also 90% international.

All these schools have an MBA enterely in english or an MBA entirely in spanish. Furthermore IE and EADA offer lots of scholarships.

Sorry, I had a mistake in writning UAC.

UB: Universidad de Barcelona
UAB: Uniersidad Autonomai de Barcelona
UPC: Universidad Politecnica de Catalonya

Besides, I found a course held by EAE in collaboration with UPC (Dual Degree). How do you evaluate this one?

oh ya, may i also add? anyone heard of Uni Carlos 3 de madrid? it's mba is 10,000 euro and it's accredited by AMBA (yes, it's not triple like EADA or IE/IESE/ESADE), but is it good or completely worthless? thanks much

There are like 50 claimed business schools in Spain, 4 are accredited IESE, IE, ESADE and EADA and offer a standard level of quality, of participants and professors. And especially they are recognised internationally or by the employers.

EAE, Unicarlos 3, and many others are trying to get into business very hard, but EAE is focusing on volumes and despite the huge advertising they are doing the level of student attending their courses is definetely not above the average. Other univrsities are too universities to be business schools. Check around this forum, ask to the schools to put you in touch with their alumni, visit them and then you will have a clearer idea.

It is not true that there are only 4 accredited business schools in Spain. Carlos III's MBA is actually accredited by the Association of MBAs, as you can check from AMBA's web page (www.mbaworld.com).

Hello Jaitego, you're absolutely right, and Carlos III even was the first Spanish MBA to be accredited as I read.

Katalina, it actually wasn't the first Spanish MBA to gain accreditation. The oldest Spanish accredited MBAs are IESE, ESADE, EADA, and IE. Carlos III is the last one to have gained accreditation. But it is the first Spanish accredited MBA offered by a (public) university.

Barcelona Management Institute is a new program which should be considered by anyone from outside of Spain. It is a North American program that is entirely global (Professors are all international as is the student body). As a new program (one year old) it is in the process of AMBA accreditation (three years). One of the key differences with the other schools mentioned so far is the Professors. They choose the best Professors from the best global programs. Financial Times Conferences just highlighted them and shot some video which they posted here www.barcelonami.tv/
