I have a general question: What are some good EMBA programs. I am mostly interested in programs taught in various locations, e.g. US/EU and Asia or Latin America? E

Hi Entao -- I've also been interested in going either to Russia or Mexico for an MBA. I might apply for the U. of Texas program collaboration with Tecnológico de Monterrey - Campus Ciudad de México. Two seemingly solid programs. But if you're really shooting for the stars, try Columbia and Duke.

Thanks for the hint minotaur. As far as Asian related programs are concerned I have come across CAss (www.find-mba.com/university/101), TExas (www.find-mba.com/university/1280) and the UCLA NUS program (www.find-mba.com/university/380). The most interesting option seems to be the ONEMBA (e.g. www.find-mba.com/university/1820) however: It is taught in MExico, HK, US, Brasil and NL! Any ideas on that one?

Does Fundação Getulio Vargas / EBAPE not participate in the OneMBA program? I found that those school are taking part in the OneMBA: Rotterdam RSM, Chinese University (CUHK), Monterrey and North Carolina. Anyone has more ifno?

Just check the website (www.onemba.org): There are 5 schools participating, these are:

- The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK)
- RSM Erasmus University
- The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC)
- EGADE Graduate School of Business at Monterrey Tech (ITESM)
- Escola de Administração de Empresas de São Paulo da Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV-EAESP)

Someone mentioned Duke's MBA... I would watch out for this one... I went to one of their info. sessions and they seem fake. They act big, but Ive had two friends who said all they care about is the numbers.

I just applied to the International School of Management, one that teaches in Paris, Tokyo, Shanghai, and New York... maybe worth checking out since it covers all the places you said you are looking into. I've found that the majority are pretty similar in cirriculum, but differ mostly in how well the staff have prepared the program (i.e. networking opportunities, organization of classes, etc.) If you don't want to take the gmat, check out ISM, if you already taken it, then you have a ton of options.. best of luck to you.

Angela, where are you from? Why did you apply to ISM. They don't seem to have any major accreditation, nor do they offer an EMBA, at least I could not find anything about it on their website.

I'm from nor Cal. The reason I decided to apply was basically how flexible the program. They will allow you to complete a number of requirements online if you must -- which was good for me because I have a very demanding work schedule. Also, you complete the courses by attending seminars to which you can pick and choose locations and dates; so again, very flexible. I checked the accredation, it is with the second largest US accredation agency--the ACBSP ( www.ism.edu/About-ISM/ISM-Overview-Accreditation.h…). The EMBA is called the IEMBA or International Executive MBA. So, I hope this answers your questions, but basically, if you want something international and dont feel you need a highly reputable school, perhaps this is one option to look into. I applied to quite a few, so still not sure myself.
