Generally, it's bad news for British and French schools, and good news in Germany. There are big falls for Aston, Bath and Warsaw' Big rises for WU in Vienna, Católica and Henley.

Makes for interesting reading as usual! German region schools are leading the charge up the rankings with St. Gallen first (no surprise there really).

Mannheim must be a little annoyed that WHU are second though - they always market that they are No.1 in Germany! I think WU are the biggest surprise package for the region though. Will be interesting to see if their position is sustainable.

ESMT and HLL are rising as well and not so far behind Mannheim.

Despite several complaints (here and in other forums) Erasmus is keeping the 7th position. Even Tiasnimbas looks good with a +8 position gain.
Now all the 6 schools of Euromba are ranked

Erasmus is a giant in the MSc business. Its low fees attract high potential students from all over the world, but it's not RSM's fault that they have not researched the job market before arriving ;-/

Hi Duncan,

how would you cause the big rise of WU Wien? i am actually interested in applying for the professional mba programm of WU Wien.
Do you have any information about the programm and its reputation? i was wondering why a GMAT and Toefl are not entry requirements for the programm...

I think the Big rise of WU is primarily due to the Bologna process: as it shifts to more English-speaking courses it attracts higher quality students. I guess it's very common for GMAt to be waives for Exec MBAs.

Thanks for sharing the information , the information on this board really helps a lot .

I'm currently searching for MBA program in Austria
,I am interested in WU PMBA program and have asked for some information via mails from their program consultant , it's a part time MBA ( The lectures are held in modules ), 90% of the students have full time job . the ranking and reputation of the university seem good . however, if I am admitted , i will be a full time student there . is there any Aluminis here could advice how intensive the program is ? do you think it's ok for a full time student to apply ? i like the school a lot , but don't want to end up with too much spare time..
Any comments and sugegstions will be highly appreciated !

A part-time programme will, of course, leave you with enough spare time for a full-time job. There are no good full-time MBAs in Austria, but why not take a full-time MSc there? www.wu.ac.at/prospective/en/programs/

Hi Irene,

II submitted my application for PMBA F&C last week. Looks like I'll have an interview with the program deputy director within month.
My suggestion for you is to contact the Program manager of PMBA specialization you are most interested. For F&C it's Anna Nusko, she's very responsive. Her contacts are available at www.executiveacademy.at/pmba_fc.
I spoke to alumnus of WU Global MBA program and LLM program. Both very positive, but these are a bit different programs. I've been promised to be contacted by PMBA F&C alumni in Russia, but that not happened as yet.

I do consider about WU's Msc program ,but i think applying MSc depends more on the school grades & GMAT , instead of experience , my university grade is not so good and I haven't done GMAT yet ( will do in Feb, )
I have about 5.5 years working experience in project management in IT industry , and think maybe MBA suit me more .

I'm thinking about applying their process & project management . I have contacted with the program consultant , and would like to hear more information regarding the program from alumni . May I know if you will doing the PMBA and work at the same time ?

After doing some survey and evaluation , I have to give up WU PMBA and choose full time program instead .

Hello Duncan ,

I may need some advices from you , i have applied full time MBA programs including Durham , HHL and Tiasnimbas . I would like to have some more insites in terms of worldwide reputation and teaching quality in order to make final decision . below are some of my findings ,
The tuition fee after scholarship deduction should be similar
From location perspect , I prefer HHL > Tiasnimbas > Durham
but Durham seems to have more well known reputation while HHL & Tiasnimbas are more reginal ?
I expect to have the program combined with real word experience and have diverse group of students and i think all these schools offer good curriculum structure .

Only Durham gets into the FT 100, but is very academic and not so experiential as most other top MBAs. I think you'll get a better education at HHL, but the focus is on careers in the German market (which is buoyant).

Did you get a GMAT score yet? Why are you looking at those programmes?

Hi Duncan ,

First of all , thank you for your reply !
My GMAT is not very good (600) , so I applied some UK universties which do not require GMAT results , including Deurham , Leeds , Southampton and Kent , and among these universities ,Durham has highest ranking , so I have narrowed down the list into Durham .
for European school , I like Germany and its language a lot. I did think about Mannheim , WHU but they are more expensive & require higher GMAT results. so I think it'd be more possible to get into HHL , lower cost and in a lovely city as well.
as for Tiasnimbas , they offer good scholarship (although it would be almost equal to HHL fee without any deduction ) and had some interviews and talk with school consultant , I am impressed by their effeciency and i feel the school takes good care of all students and very supportive plus they seem to be aaggresive to promote themself and improve their worldwide ranking .
Besides, I would like to finalyse the school by end of March , therefore , it'd be probably the choice among Durham , HHL and Tiasnimba i get .
What's your opinion ?

What is your career goal?

First, don't take the Tias scholarship too seriously. I don't know anyone who was not offered it. They just inflate the price and offer scholarships to attract students. Very clever. I would look into placement there for international students very carefully. Tilburg bought and then closed the Nimbas MBA in Utrecht. I am not sure if the placement service improved.

HHL would be very interesting for me. I took a course there and was impressed. The cents of Leipzig is lovely but most of the town is a bit of a dump.

Durham is cute. There is a new business school extension planned which might release some pressure on space there. Is is a very academic MBA. You need to speak to graduates of these programmes.

Thanks a lot for your feedback ,
well , i have been working in IT industry for several years , I'm doing projects management work . the reason why i decide to pursue a MBA degree is not only to get into higher level position when I come back but also to broaden my internationa perspectives . Most of my job is related to manage overseas 3rd parties, so I think it could be a plus to me if i could study in Europe . the dileimma i have now is UK school is more well-know in my country , but i think European school may offer more diversity in terms of students and life experience ....
