Is there anyone here in this board who knows, which MBA programs in Germany have the best reputation internationally, especially in eastern European countries? Thanks

Hi there,

when you look at the international rankings (FT, America Economia, Which MBA) and the international accreditations Mannheim is definitely the best choice. WHU offers a good quality with its EMBA. HHL and Goethe/Frankfurt are average. GISMA had to face some financial problems, but they are closely linked with Purdue.

Beware of the ESMT!!! They have a disastrous image in Germany. They are not internationally accredited (they hardly received an accreditation in Germany), not ranked yet and they have a very small faculty. Articles in the FTD, Spiegel online or Handelsblatt prove that. ESCP-EAP has only a small branch in Germany.

Fachhochschulen only offer programs of minor quality, i.e. they are not able to compete in the international market.

Hope that helps you.

Best,
JL

That's not true anymore. ESMT has the AMBA accreditation now: www.esmt.org/eng/about-esmt/esmt-internationally-a…

A little step forward for them. But the fact that they hardly got accredited by the German Council of Science and Humanities (Wissenschaftsrat) proves that they are still struggling with heavy problems. There are many better schools in Germany, believe me!

Hi,

I have completed my MBA in Accounting & Information Systems from Bangladesh. I have a work experience of 3.5 years at a foreign bank named Standard Chartered. I would like to persue another MBA in germany. Can any one tell me how i can afford universities like Mannheim or WHU or even Leipzic? Can any one give feedback on the MBA degree offered at Offenburg, Fulda and Coburg University?
Thank you.....

Disappointing? Why? I actually think the DAAD site is a useful lead for scholarships. Oh, and I've actually never heard of those German business schools you mentioned. Sorry.

Hi, I am a graduate from Offenburg University of Applied Sciences. The MBA program there is small, but the professors and lecturers also come from some of the top consulting companies such as Roland Berger. The concentration is in Consulting, but it covers general management topics as well. I have found it to be most useful, especially if you have a small budget. Scholarships are not that easy to obtain, but DAAD website has one of the most comprehensive list of scholarschip providers. Wish you good luck in your applications.
