América Economia rankings

Evan2007 Joined: 06 Apr 2007 Posts: 209	América Economia rankings Tue May 10, 2011 01:39 PM Saw that they ranked international MBA programs last week. Now I'm not so big on rankings anyway, but does anyone know how much weight this magazine carries locally in Latin America? Like if I was looking at schools in Latin America, do their Latin American MBA rankings matter (as much as any rankings can "matter")?

From an American perspective, it seems like these schools have the best reputation: Coppead (Brazil) IAE (Argentina) FIA (Brazil) EGADE (Mexico) Thunderbird (various) Obviously Brazil and Argentina have the best schools, but Mexico is starting to make headway. I'd say that this is how most Americans or Europeans would look at it. It makes you wonder though - what about the other countries? Maybe Peru or Chile? Does anybody know about the MBA programs there? It would be good to hear from somebody who lives or has lived down there - I'm sure they could offer some good perspective.

I'm from Canada and I'm looking at programs in South America, particularly Brazil and Argentina. I have no idea about MBAs in other South American countries, so I guess that makes three of us who would like to know more.
