I think you mean Cardiff Metropolitain University, not Cardiff University. I would speak to students and visit classes in Cairo. It is impossible to make an abstract judgment because none of these are very good programmes.

Calling people insane doesn't help you to persuade people. Thu Apr 25, 2013 01:48 PM Cardiff's a strong British university with an MBA that is inferior to those: - in the respected rankings - with AMBA and EQUIS accreditation - which require work experience. Cardiff doesn't have those things. If it did, it would be in the rankings above Hult. Course structure matters much less to employers than the quality of the cohort and the nature of the experience. |

For whom is this bloody Executive MBA meant for it is for all those such oldies and baldies who have experiences of 10 years and the young MBA,s are much more dynamic and professional than these experienced bafoons who are good for nothing.Thu Apr 25, 2013 05:08 PM Ofcourse the course strcture matters its your knowledge and skills that your employer needs. Ok fine even a university like Bradford which is triple accreditated but has very low employability and is also a very low ranked university. The MBA program was originally started by the USA are there IVY league universities and B Schools bothered about this so called AMBA by the way do you know who started AMBA in UK. A group of UK students who studied in US B Schools started it in UK. |

Cardiff obviously does not have a higher ranking or a higher salary than Bradford. Nor, if your comments are a guide, does it have friends who have learnt to spell.

A couple of points for clarification (for readers of this thread in general)Fri Apr 26, 2013 12:49 PM 1. Is this thread referring to Cardiff university or Cardiff Metropolitan University? There is a big difference. 2. Is there a suggestion that AACSB accredited universities are inferior to ones with AMBA and/or EQUIS accreditation? |

This thread is about Cardiff University only Fri Apr 26, 2013 05:36 PM CArdiff has both AASCB and EQUIS Lastly No matter what you say an claim Bradford is a low ranked university go and look at the Ranking first and also do look at the graduate prospects percentage of both the universities even the dumbest can figure out which is the best stupid AMBA is not the only criteria which will decide the ranking and payscale Cardiff is ranked no 12 in the business studies ranking on the other hand bradford is below 60 even more than that and is not even in the russell group so dnt exagerate no matter what you say the ranking speaks it self and sound minded pople know what is right and wrong |

I am sure the other person is referring to Cardiff Business School, which recently obtained AACSB accrediation. Cardiff Business School is a research-centred school which runs a "freshers MBA" aimed at students from the developing world with no work experience. It is hugely popular with 350 students (London Business School recruits 400, so it's massive by European standards). Many students are from India and Pakistan; Cardiff's always attracted a lot of Greeks too. Like Bradford, the school has slightly low IELTS requirements (6.5). Indeed, Cardiff even has subject-specific English-language support through the year for students. It does not need the GMAT.Fri Apr 26, 2013 06:00 PM I would love to see a ranking in which the Cardiff MBA is ranked above the Bradford one: that would be amusing. Cardiff is good for pre-experience courses and for research. Being in the Russell Group of reseach universities does not mean you have a world-class MBA: just look at Bristol, Glasgow, Liverpool, LSE, QMW, Queen's, Southampton, York... That requires great MBA students more than it requires great PhD research. PS For undergraduate business, perhaps Cardiff is 12th and Bradford 60th. But for the MBA, Cardiff would need to ask for work experience to make serious progress in the MBA rankings. [Edited by JK Duncan on 26 Apr 2013] |

And what ranking is this? Certainly not any MBA rankings that I'm acquainted with. In terms of the FT Global MBA ranking, Bradford fell of the list this year and as far as I know Cardiff was never ranked. |
