INFORMATION.
I am from India and want to know wiil Ireland will be good country to work after MBA in Ireland.Thu Jan 21, 2010 01:08 PM Do any one can tell me how much salary one can expect in Ireland? Please help me. |

an MBA in the country you would like to work in is almost always a good idea - just make sure it is a good school(properly accredited, ranked ect.) Thu Jan 21, 2010 01:34 PM as it is, there is only one school in Ireland ranked by the big names(FT and economist): University College Dublin: Smurfit but you can also go for a non ranked school - just check the career services and contacts to companies in the specific branch you would like to work in, and try to contact alumni. about the salary i don't have any first hand information, but you can use this website to try and get an idea: www.payscale.com/research/IE/Country=Ireland/Salar… |

you should use the link i sent you and other websites to check this out, as it is a lot of work. bare in mind, it is not just the pay you should check, but also the living costs in the country of choice. Denmark had recently announced a liberal immigration policy for skilled workers. You could check that out too. To answer your another question - Highest salary for MBA students is offered in US. When I last knew, in Ireland, you could stay up to 6 months after completion of your course to search for the job. You may check official site to confirm the details. If you are interested in doing the job in the country where you will do your MBA, then - US, UK, Canada & Australia will be better options. |

As far as i know, almost all companies in mainland Europe would prefer people that speak the local language. add to that the migration policies in Europe, which requires them to give a good reason why the would be employee is not a local, and to prove that he is the only one who can do that job(and no one from the locals can), and you get a pretty good idea about the difficulties you would have finding a job.

If your preference is working in the country where you take up your MBA, then your options are narrowed down to US, UK, Canada and Australia. I'll also add New Zealand to the list because of the ease of getting a work permit or permanent residency. In any mainland EU country getting a work permit is a real tough task. To add to what you already know - in all these countries an MBA w/o proper full time job experience is almost impossible unless you are opting for second grade colleges. Even if by a stroke of luck you do get in, getting a job will be a nightmare. Thanks Anirban |

If you do not have at least 3 years of post grad full time job experience then the best place to do an MBA is India. In India the philosophy of business education is very different from that in Europe. The course structure distributed across 2 years enables fresh college grads to grasp managerial concepts pretty well. If you do your MBA from a decent B-school in India, believe me, jobs are a plenty. If I have understood your profile right, my 2 cents worth for you would be to look for good MBA opportunities in India. Just having a foriegn degree won't do any good. Thanks Anirban |
