Overrated US Schools
The following is a list of schools that I think are overrated - that is, they cost too much for what is essentially a "brand name."Tue Jan 12, 2010 05:02 PM 1. Yale 2. Harvard 3. Kellogg 4. Chicago Booth 5. MIT Sloan Yeah, you can go to these schools, and say, "I went to Harvard," but in the end it's just a name. If you really want a good hands-on business education, there are some pretty great second tier schools and international ones too. |

If you compare MBA schools with bags... Sat Jan 30, 2010 02:34 PM which one you prefer: a Hermès bag that doesn't fit you well or a Coach bag that fits you well. Brand name still plays a big role in our live... that's why an average women owns 6 Louis Vuitton bags in her lifetime. There are better 2nd tier schools (ie Coach bag), but you surely want to show of your degree from the 1st tier school (ie. Hermès). |

But when it comes to functionality, wouldn't a Coach bag be just as useful as one from Hermès? And, less likely to get stolen!

Try and get an I-Banking job from your second tier schools. You are moron and don't realize that you are paying for a network and elite job opportunities. |
