MBA at UMASS Boston
Hello Everyone, Thu Nov 05, 2009 11:22 PM There are a couple of colleges that I am planning to apply for MBA admission - Fall 2010 and one of the colleges that I am planning to apply is UMASS Boston. I was going through the UMASS website and I found that international students need to disclose an amount of 37,349.00 US $ during the application submission. Link : www2.www.umb.edu/form/forms/cert_of_finance.pdf I am planning to take a bank loan for my higher studies and the loan will be sanctioned only once the college provides me with the I-20 form. Anyone here who has run into a similar situation and got it resolved? Thanks |

Hey Torpedo. it is, of course quite normal to have to submit this certificate in order to get a visa, and it looks like it is a common practice in American universities to ask for it during application(i am not sure they have to do it, but just buy Googling i have found quit a few forms of this type). now, i can see your problem, and the only thing i can suggest to you is: talk to the bank and see if they would give you a letter with a declaration of intentions - saying they will loan you the money if you get admitted. you will have to ask the school if this is enough. if not, you can also try and find a relative who would do it for you - then he just has to prove he has got the means(and then after you get admitted, get a bank loan).Fri Nov 06, 2009 09:32 AM try and contact the admissions office, and see what they say - you are surely not the first one to have problems with this thing. |
